Currently they sit in 7th place, four points higher than 9th place Florida Panthers. The New York Rangers have managed to produce a record of 39-27-9 for 87 points. During the trade deadline the Rangers were busy trying to create better odds for their team winning the Stanley Cup. One of their main moves was trading a second round draft pick to the Toronto Maple Leafs for center men Nik Antropov. Antropov has played in 74 games this year scoring 23 times and adding 33 assists. Leading the New York Rangers offensively are forwards Nikolai Zherdev (56 pts), Scott Gomez (54pts) and Chris Drury (50 pts). Also in addition to the Rangers roster is former player Sean Avery. Avery, once a Dallas Star, had been suspended for the comments he exposed on live air about Dion Phaneuf and Avery’s ex girlfriend.
