The season has been a rollercoaster for the Canucks who have bounced back and forth between winning and losing. At the mid-weigh point Vancouver seemed like a shoe in for the playoffs, and a top Canadian contender for the Stanley Cup. Then the battle started to sign former Maple Leafs captain Mats Sundin. When first acquiring Mats the hockey club was ecstatic, but then some started to question if it was the right decision. When Mats Sundin began to play the club slowly was starting to fall out of playoff contention. However, Vancouver has managed to turn it around and is now 6-3-1 in their last 10 games. There record of 39-25-9 is good enough to sit them in 5th place in the Western Conference with eight games remaining. As the Canucks turned their season around, Sundin began to find his game. With 32 games played, Mats has 9 goals and 21 points, at the top of that list leading the way for the Canucks are brothers Daniel Sedin (71 pts) and Henrik Sedin (70 pts). Side lined with an injury for some of the year, Roberto Luongo has proven again in 46 games that he is one of the best goaltenders currently playing. With 28 wins Luongo has a GAA of 2.43 and 6 shutouts, helping the Canucks improve their odds of winning the Stanley Cup.

Although it has been a bumpy road for the Vancouver Canucks, they have finally been able to put the pieces together and have four solid lines.
