Storm Surge
The quickness and athletic ability of Iowa State will be a huge key in how well the Cyclones can have a shot to win. The backcourt of Rasir Bolton and Javan Johnson has combined for 25 assists and only four turnovers in the first two games. Jalen Coleman-Lands and Tyler Harris will try to kick start to Iowa State 3-point game which is a must if the Cyclones have a shot to upset the Hawkeyes. The Cyclones force 17.5 turnovers per game in their first two and will look to try and turn the Hawkeyes over as Iowa has only 10.3 turnovers per game in their 4-0 start.
Hawk Talk
Luke Garza is totally living up to all the accolades he has received in the preseason magazines and polls as he has 29.3 points and 10.8 rebounds in his first four. It’s an embarrassment of riches in experience and talent for coach Fran McCaffery as his 3-point game also has picked up where it took off a year ago. The Hawkeyes shoot 40.2 percent from three as Joe Wieskamp checks in with 11 makes while CJ Fredrick and Jordan Bohannon have 10 each. Iowa has defended the three well also as opponents make only 29.3 percent of those triples.
