The Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns will be heading into a pivotal game six tomorrow (May 29th) at 7:30PM. With the Lakers winning game five on a buzzer beater from Ron Artest they managed to take a stranglehold on the Western Finals series. Game five started out with the Lakers taking a couple commanding leads, but each time the Suns managed to battle back. When Jason Richardson knocked down the tying three ball I thought there was definitely going to be overtime, but the Lakers showed some grit and got the job done.
With the series now on the line for the Suns, they’re going to need a huge game at home tomorrow night. Steve Nash already mentioned that the series will be back in Los Angeles, so I expect the Suns to come out firing. If Nash can put together another 25+ point performance tomorrow I think they have a great shot. An interesting little fact about the series so far is that the home team has yet to lose a game. I think that as long as the Suns can jump out to a fast start in game six they’ll have a good chance at forcing a game seven.
One of the problems in game five was the fact that the Suns were down by double digits multiple times throughout the game. They did show a lot of heart by coming back when they were down, but they were unable to get over that hump. In the two games that the Suns have won this series they were leading at half time and I think this will be important to their success tomorrow night.

Lakers vs. Suns Game 6 Predictions
Spread Pick – Tomorrow night I think it’s going to come down to what team gets out to a fast start. The fact that the home team has won each game in the series thus far is also a factor in why I think the Suns will win tomorrow. The line opened up at –1.5 at most online sportsbooks although I expect it will go up closer to game time tomorrow, so if you like the Suns then jump on them now. The early action has been leaning to the Suns although if the spread goes up it may even out a bit more. The favorite is only 2-3 ATS this series, but with such a short spread I believe the Suns will cover. BET ON THE SUNS -1.5 AT SPORTSBOOK.COM!
Game Total Pick – Most of the games in this series have had higher game totals then 216 points, so it surprises me a bit that the total is this slow right now. So far in the series the O/U is 4-1 with the only under coming in game five. The Suns typically like to run a bit more at home, so I’m going to be jumping on the Over 216 points while I can since I think it may go up. The first two games played in Phoenix ended up with scores of 227 and 221 respectively. BET ON THE OVER AT SPORTSBOOK.COM!
