2022 Masters Tournament Betting Odds and Predictions

The biggest weekend in golf has arrived at Augusta National Golf Club. The most sacred grounds in golf returns to host the Masters. TheSportsGeek has the latest Masters Tournament odds and picks for the 2022 Masters Tournament.

There is more attention on whether Tiger Woods is going to play than the actual tournament itself. The Masters’ organizers and ESPN and CBS are keeping their fingers crossed that Woods makes his comeback.

We don’t need to explain what Woods would mean to this tournament. After a serious car accident last February, it looked like Woods would have to retire.

A year has passed, and he’s practicing at Augusta National leading up to the tournament. Woods has stated that he’s a game-time decision to play, but even if he doesn’t, it’s promising he’ll be active for the US Open at least.

Woods’ Masters Tournament odds are pretty generous, given he hasn’t played a tournament since the Zozo Championship in October of 2020. He entered the 2020 US Open and failed to make the CUT that year.

As of Monday, Woods’ betting odds for the Masters’ golf tournament is +5000. I’d need better Masters Tournament odds to consider Woods. Getting closer to +10000 than maybe, but he just seems like a novelty bet.

Will Tiger Woods Play or Make The Cut?

Of course, the make the cut bet is assuming that Woods played in the 2022 Masters. If he doesn’t all of his bets will be void and refunded.

I’m leaning towards him playing. It’s hard to see him going through practice at Augusta National and attention without giving it a go.

Everyone is jumping on the Woods’ bandwagon, but what kind of form can you expect from him? Maybe by the time the US Open arrives, he’ll be considered more of a contender.

Right now, though, people are getting caught in the media hype around his return to the golf course. At -165 odds, that looks good enough for me to bet NO, Woods will not make the cut.

Will Tiger Woods Make The Cut?

Believe it or not, other golfers are participating in the 2022 Masters. Scottie Scheffler took over the top spot in the PGA rankings from Jon Rahm after a big performance in the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play.

There is a 70% chance of rain and thunderstorms on Thursday, but the rest of the tournament days look clear with nice weather. Head below for the best 2022 Masters Tournament odds.

Betting Odds For Masters Golf Tournament

Bovada has the best Masters Tournament odds available online. If you are looking for a golf sportsbook offering the best 2022 Masters Tournament odds, we suggest looking at Bovada, or our recommended betting sites.

Jon Rahm has the leading odds to win the Masters in 2022. He was atop the world rankings before Scheffler won the Dell Match Play Tournament two weeks back. Scheffler struggled in The Players, but has been hot with three tournament wins since the Phoenix Open.

Rahm would be the easy choice at the top of the odds board, but he hasn’t looked like the best player on the PGA Tour recently. There is better value out there for the Masters’ Tournament odds.

Rory McIlroy will garner attention on the odds board as well. McIlroy has finished in the top-10 in the Masters six times in his last eight appearances at Augusta National.

However, he hasn’t been at his best, with his recent work suggesting that McIlroy is ready for a winning performance at the Masters in 2022. Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka are probably a couple of others that are overvalued.

Masters Tournament Odds Shortlist

Scottie Scheffler (+1400)

It’s hard to say no to Scottie Scheffler on the Masters betting shortlist. He is in his best form at the moment and has been racking up the wins thus far in 2022.

Sheffler is feeling it despite a poor showing at The Players. Scheffler should have a good chance if he can quickly forget about that performance and focus on the Masters.

The native of Dallas came up well short in T55 at The Players. However, Scheffler was rolling, with a win in the Arnold Palmer Invitational and Phoenix Open in two of three starts.

He finished in the top-10 in the Genesis Invitational as well. Since the World Wide Technology Championship, Scheffler has finished top-5 in five of ten tournaments.

After finishing T19 and T18 in his first two Masters, expect Scheffler to take a move forward. He rates highly in the 2022 Masters.

Patrick Cantlay (+2000)

It’s hard to pass over Patrick Cantlay at these odds to win the Masters. Cantlay has to be considered to win the Masters at +2000 or better.

He is going to be overlooked given his recent results. The 30-year-old finished T33 at the Genesis Invitational and CUT from The Players.

However, Cantlay is better than that output suggests. He has finished in the top-10 in four straight tournaments and top-5 in three of those five outings.

In five attempts at Augusta National, Cantlay is T47, T58, T9, T17, and CUT last year. If Cantlay used his time off to get his head straight after struggling at The Players, expect him to be close on the leaderboard Sunday.

2022 Masters Tournament Prediction

Sam Burns (+3300)

For the final prediction on our shortlist and best 2022 Masters Tournament betting odds, we turn to the winner of the Valspar Championship. You should be hard-pressed to find many people who will like Sam Burns.

He isn’t the most well-known player amongst casual fans on the PGA Tour and is making his Masters debut on Thursday. However, for a player with his ability to putt well, which is needed on this course, Burns must be in the running to win the 2022 Masters.

The 25-year-old doesn’t have the experience and isn’t getting as much hype as Scottie Scheffler, but he is currently rounding form. Burns has finished in the top-10 in nine of his previous 14 tournaments.

It finally all came together for Burns in a playoff in the Valspar. In October, he also won the Sanderson Farms Championship for his third-career win on the PGA Tour.

His inexperience at Augusta National is the only yellow flag for him, but you wouldn’t be getting +3300 or better otherwise. I will have a piece of Scheffler and Cantlay, but for an outright winner, the best odds and value has to be on a Sam Burns Masters prediction.
