BKFC Main Event: Jarod Grant vs Anthony Retic
This bare knuckle title fight is for the bantamweight belt. Both fighters are undefeated in BKFC, but Retic is a 6-9 MMA fighter. He started his pro career way back in 2011 and outside of BKFC he’s on a seven fight losing streak. It’s clear Retic can throw heat. He knocked out UFC fighter Khama Worthy in 2016 in the first round.

Bare Knuckle Tale of the Tape for Grant vs Retic
Fighter | Jarod Grant | Anthony Retic |
Money Line | +100 | -130 |
Bare Knuckle Record | 4-0 | 2-0 |
Knockouts Total (MMA, Boxing, Bare Knuckle) | 4 | 6 |
Career Times Knocked Out | 0 | 1 |
Grant is the underdog given Retic’s history of finishing people quickly and long history of fight sports. At Toe the Line 1, a bare knuckle show in 2020, Retic went to a decision with Chris Johnson, and that’s the only decision between Grant and Retic.
Both men have fought Johnson, and Grant knocked Johnson out cold in the third round.
Johnson vs Retic Fight Tape
Retic engages quickly, and pushes the pace on Johnson, but it’s clear that conditioning is an issue early on. Retic took on Johsnon on short notice, similar to this bout with Grant, taking the bout on less than a week notice.
Retic’s Golden Glove experience comes through on his striking defense, but Johnson’s able to keep him on the back foot often. It’s clear from fight tape that Retic will have the reach advantage.
Grant vs Thompson, Johnson
Grant counterstrikes with Thompson and uses the ropes and clinch position often to stop opponents from striking in flurries. He finishes via cuts for a doctor stoppage.
Johnson had the same experience, with Grant looking to neutralize his attacks early and often. The counter knockout happened late in the third. Grant has knockouts in rounds 2-4 in BKFC.
BKFC New York 2 Betting Pick
Underdog Jared Grant puts in the numbers that firstrate Retic. In his MMA career, Retic was downed by long fights and exhausted with clinch work. Our betting pick is Jarod Grant at +100, an underdog that has a full fight camp and significant knockout power.

BKFC Co-Main Event: Jeremiah Riggs vs Connor Tierney
Riggs is moving to BKFC after his eight year retirement from fighting, calling it quits from Bellator in 2013. He’s facing Connor Tierney, a British boxer with a history of being gritty inside the ring, willing to put it on the line for an exciting fight.
Bare Knuckle Tale of the Tape for Riggs vs Tierney
Fighter | Jeremiah Riggs | Connor Tierney |
Money Line | +250 | -325 |
Bare Knuckle Record | 1-0 | 0-0 (5-1 boxing record) |
Knockouts Total (MMA, Boxing, Bare Knuckle) | 2 | 2 |
Career Times Knocked Out | 1 | 1 |
Tierney is twelve years younger than Riggs, and his boxing skill is significantly better. The only reason the odds aren’t even further in Tierney’s favor is due to the inherent explosive nature of bare knuckle matches.
Our betting pick is Connor Tierney in what should be a one sided fight between a young boxer and an aging MMA fighter.

BKFC New York Main Card: Eddie Hoch vs Dustin Pague
Hoch has lost his last two MMA bouts but is thriving in Bare knuckle. He faces Pague, a former UFC fighter whose career has spiraled after his four straight UFC losses.
Bare Knuckle Tale of the Tape for Hoch vs Pague
Fighter | Eddie Hoch | Dustin Pague |
Money Line | +125 | -155 |
Bare Knuckle Record | 2-0 | 0-1 |
Knockouts Total (MMA, Boxing, Bare Knuckle) | 1 | 3 |
Career Times Knocked Out | 1 | 4 |
Pague is the favorite given his MMA career, but he’s been knocked out multiple times and struggled in his first BKFC fight.
Hoch has thrived in the BKFC environment, striking and swinging for the fences. What he lacks in technique he makes up for in fearlessness. It isn’t as if Pague was a UFC level striker, his only wins were via submission, even on the Ultimate Fighter. His last KO was in 2011.
I think Eddie Hoch is underrated, and our betting pick is his money line at +125.

BKFC New York Main Card: Manuel Moreira vs Matthew Phillips
Phillips is a quality kickboxer and MMA fighter, but BKFC is offering more money. He won via knockout in his first BKFC fight. Moreira has lost his first two BKFC fights and brings nothing to the table but aggression.
Bare Knuckle Tale of the Tape for Moreira vs Phillips
Fighter | Manuel Moreira | Matthew Phillips |
Money Line | +175 | -215 |
Bare Knuckle Record | 0-2 | 1-0 |
Knockouts Total (MMA, Boxing, Bare Knuckle) | 0 | 7 |
Times Knocked Out | 1 | 0 |
This fight is going to be one sided. It’s the only bout on the card that I would consider putting in a paraly with some of the undefeated fighters on this weekend’s Bellator Card.
Our betting pick is Matthew Phillips at -215.

BKFC New York Main Card: Gabe Sacchetti vs Jack Grady
Sacchetti has never had a fight of any kind and we struggled to find any information on him. He faces Jack Grady, a man who has lost fights in three different combat sports and has no wins whatsoever.
Bare Knuckle Tale of the Tape for Sacchetti vs Grady
Fighter | Gabe Sacchetti | Jack Grady |
Money Line | -115 | -115 |
Bare Knuckle Record | 0-0 | 0-1 |
Knockouts Total (MMA, Boxing, Bare Knuckle) | 0 | 0 |
Times Knocked Out | 0 | 2 |
Sachetti appears to be a kind of ‘UFC Super fan.’ He doesn’t appear to have much if any experience, but has one fight back in 2012. First, I can’t believe the athletic commission approved this. Second, our betting pick is Gabe Sacchetti at -115. Bet lightly, this one’s a coin toss.

BKFC New York Main Card: Kyle McElroy vs Zachary Calmus
McElroy is an old school Jackson Wink guy who’s been a hobbyist for a long time. He’s facing Calmus, a showman from Massachusetts who trains himself.
Bare Knuckle Tale of the Tape for McElroy vs Calmus
Fighter | Kle McElroy | Zachary Calmus |
Money Line | -155 | +185 |
Bare Knuckle Record | 0-1 | 0-1 |
Knockouts Total (MMA, Boxing, Bare Knuckle) | 1 | 1 |
Times Knocked Out | 1 | 1 |
McElroy has the upper hand in that he’s got a good training environment and he’s the taller, lankier fighter. Expect a sloppy slugfest and a McElroy knockout at -155.

BKFC New York Main Card: Angela Danzig vs Charisa Sigala
Danzig has more boxing experience but has struggled in her MMA career. She’s racked up two knockouts in her amatuer career, but has lost to all kinds of grapplers in pro MMA. Sigala is a Gracie fighter taking the highest paying option, away from MMA.
Bare Knuckle Tale of the Tape for Danzig vs Sigala
Fighter | Angela Danzig | Charisa Sigala |
Money Line | +165 | -205 |
Bare Knuckle Record | 0-0 (2-5 MMA) | 1-2 |
Knockouts Total (MMA, Boxing, Bare Knuckle) | 2 | 2 |
Times Knocked Out | 0 | 1 |
Danzig is the better striker. Fight tape shows Danzig using fundamentals and Sigala still struggling with the basics. Sigala is a decent grappler, but it won’t and hasn’t translated to Bare knuckle fighting. Both fighters are fairly old for combat sports, at 37 and 40. I see someone getting finished, and unless BKFC suddenly allows chokes, it will be by Sigala getting put away.
Our betting pick is Angela Danzig at +165.

BKFC New York Main Card: Devin Gibson vs Kody Murray
Murray has more experience but Devin has the only BKFC win.
Bare Knuckle Tale of the Tape for Gibson vs Murray
Fighter | Devin Gibson | Kody Murray |
Money Line | -150 | +120 |
Bare Knuckle Record | 1-0 | 0-0 |
Knockouts Total (MMA, Boxing, Bare Knuckle) | 0 | 0 |
Times Knocked Out | 0 | 1 |
Fight tape for these fighters shows Gibson using some good boxing in BKFC, understanding fundamental head movement and blocking. Murray is the better athlete, but his boxing isn’t where it needs to be. Though I don’t have fight stats, I see Gibson as the lankier fighter and his reach will play a factor. Our betting pick is Devin Gibson at -150.

BKFC New York Main Card: Stanislav Grosu vs Christian Torres
Torres isn’t the best striker on earth, but the guy is a specimen. Torres is one of the more physically imposing fighters on the card. Just so you know, you get your cash returned on any matches ruled a no contest because of PEDS or drug use. Grosu is from Disciple MMA, a gym with few high level strikers.
Bare Knuckle Tale of the Tape for Grosu vs Torres
Fighter | Stanislav Grosu | Christian Torres |
Money Line | +115 | -145 |
Bare Knuckle Record | 0-1 | 1-0 |
Knockouts Total (MMA, Boxing, Bare Knuckle) | 0 | 1 |
Times Knocked Out | 1 | 1 |
Torres is the more physical fighter, and I see Grosu getting bullied around the ring and dirty boxed out of this fight. Our betting pick is Christian Torres at -145.

BKFC New York Main Card: Art Driscoll vs Damon Bell
Driscoll has never fought before but he’s clearly in better condition. Bell lost his first BKFC fight with a third round loss. He has one kickboxing win, and trains out of Fight Factory.
Bare Knuckle Tale of the Tape for Driscoll vs Bell
Fighter | Art Driscoll | Damon Bell |
Money Line | +100 | -130 |
Bare Knuckle Record | 0-0 | 0-1 |
Knockouts Total (MMA, Boxing, Bare Knuckle) | 0 | 1 |
Times Knocked Out | 0 | 1 |
After a bit of research, Driscoll’s training appears to be a men’s physique competition and hitting the heavy bag. I think Damon Bell is going to give our friend a rude awakening and welcome combat sports.
Our betting pick is Damon Bell at -130.

BKFC New York Main Card: Anthony Prater vs Lardy Navarro
Lardy has never fought before and this is Prater’s first professional fight of any kind.Lardy was a three times Golden gloves champion and his boxing looks good.
Bare Knuckle Tale of the Tape for Prater vs Navarro
Fighter | Anthony Prater | Lardy Navarro |
Money Line | +225 | -285 |
Bare Knuckle Record | 0-0 | 0-0 |
Knockouts Total (MMA, Boxing, Bare Knuckle) | 0 | NA |
Times Knocked Out | 1 | NA |
We’ll take the easy pick and go with Lardy Navarro, a guy with boxing experience versus a guy with hardly any at all. We were unable to confirm his record, but found footage of Lardy’s boxing. Bet Navarro at -285.
