Fulham vs Bournemouth

Time: Saturday, October 27th 2018, 16:00 CET (10:00 EST)

Venue: Craven Cottage

Fulham Provisional Starting XI

  • GK – Bettinelli
  • Defense – LeMarchand, Odoi, Ream and Chambers
  • Midfield – Sessegnon, Seri, Johanson, McDonald and Schurrle
  • Attack – Mitrovic

Bournemouth Provisional Starting XI

  • GK – Begovic
  • Defense – Ake, Cook, and Francis
  • Midfield – Smith, Brooks, Fraser, Lerma and Cook
  • Attack – King and Wilson

Fulham will host Bournemouth at the Craven Cottage this Saturday, in what could be the highest scoring match of the week. Fulham has been abysmal defensively allowing a whopping 25 goals in their opening 9 matches and Bournemouth are a team that focuses on offense.

Fulham is having a rough awakening in the English Premier League this season. They are currently in the relegation zone in the 18th place with 5 points from their opening 9 matches. Their defensive liabilities seem to get worse with each match played in the EPL and Slavisa Jokanovic is already under pressure and coaching for his job.
AFC Bournemouth Goal
Bournemouth is the best-ranked team outside of Big 6 clubs and is currently in the 6th place in the EPL with 17 points from their opening matches. They have scored 16 goals in their opening 9 matches and remain one of the best offensive teams in the league.

Every game from now on is a must-win for Fulham and Slavisa Jokanovic who is coaching for his job. Unfortunately, a quality side is coming to their stadium and it will be tough for them to score points if the defense doesn’t improve. Bournemouth is the favorites here.

Liverpool FC vs Cardiff City

Time: Saturday, October 27th 2018, 16:00 CET (10:00 EST)

Venue: Anfield Road

Liverpool Provisional Starting XI

  • GK – Allison
  • Defense – Van Dijk, Gomez, Robertson and Lovren
  • Midfield – Milner, Wijnaldum and Shaqiri
  • Attack – Salah, Mane and Firmino

Cardiff City Provisional Starting XI

  • GK – Etheridge
  • Defense – Bennet, Morrison, Bamba and Ecuele Manga
  • Midfield – Gunnarsson, Camarasa, Arter and Murphy
  • Attack – Patterson and Reid

League-leaders Liverpool will host bottom-dwellers Cardiff City at the Anfield Road. Liverpool will be looking to break the stalemate between them and Manchester City for the lead in the EPL this weekend. Manchester City play a tough away game at Tottenham Hotspurs and this is a perfect opportunity for Liverpool to capitalize.

Liverpool is unbeaten in the EPL in the opening 9 matches with 7 wins and 2 draws on their record and 23 points. The biggest improvement this season has been their defense which is ranked 1st in the EPL with only 3 goals allowed in 9 matches. They are also coming off a 4-0 demolishing of Red Star Belgrade at home in the UEFA Champions League.

Cardiff City finally broke their 8-match winless streak last week, by beating Fulham 4-2 at home. They are currently in the 17th place in the EPL and have just climbed above the relegation zone. It remains to be seen whether their 4 goals against Fulham was a fluke or they have really improved.

Liverpool is absolute favorites in this one and anything but their win in this one will be a huge upset.

Watford vs Huddersfield Town

Time: Saturday, October 27th 2018, 16:00 CET (10:00 EST)

Venue: Vicarage Road

Watford Provisional Starting XI

  • GK – Foster
  • Defense – Cathcart, Mariappa, Kiko and Holebas
  • Midfield – Hughes, Capoue, Pereyra, Deulofeu and Doucoure
  • Attack – Success

Huddersfield Town Provisional Starting XI

  • GK – Lossl
  • Defense – Zanka, Lowe, Schindler and Hadergjonaj
  • Midfield – Mooy, Hogg, Durm, Billing and Pritchard
  • Attack – Depoitre

Watford will host Huddersfield Town at Vicarage Road this Saturday in a matchup of two defensive philosophies. Watford had a perfect start in their opening 4 matches but have cooled off significantly since and Huddersfield Town are probably the worst team in the EPL along with Fulham, Cardiff City, and Newcastle United.
Watford Goal Celebration
Watford is currently in the 7th place in EPL with 16 points in the opening 9 matches. They have finally ended their 4-match winless streak by beating Wolves away 0-2. This is Watford’s best start in EPL in club history and they will look to build on it.

Huddersfield Town is the only winless team in the EPL along with Newcastle United. They are currently in the 19th place in the EPL and are a prime candidate for relegation to the English Championship. They have managed to score 3 draws, along with 6 losses, in their opening 9 matches and league’s worst 4-18 goal difference.

Watford is favorites in this one and should be able to take care of Huddersfield Town. Especially, if they would like to continue their dream season in EPL.

Southampton vs Newcastle United

Time: Saturday, October 27th 2018, 16:00 CET (10:00 EST)

Venue: St. Mary’s Stadium

Southampton Provisional Starting XI

  • GK – McCarthy
  • Defense – Stephens, Soares, Bertrand and Hoedt
  • Midfield – Armstrong, Hojbjerg and Redmond
  • Attack – Elyounoussi, Ings and Austin

Newcastle United Provisional Starting XI

  • GK – Dubravka
  • Defense – Dummet, Yedlin, Fernandez and Lascelles
  • Midfield – Richie, Shelvey and Diame
  • Attack – Perez, Kennedy and Muto

St. Mary’s Stadium will be the venue of a Southampton and Newcastle United match in the Matchweek 10 in the EPL this Saturday. An intriguing matchup between the struggling Southampton and the league’s worst team Newcastle United.

Southampton have just gone through a difficult part of their schedule where they had to face Liverpool, Wolves, Chelsea and Bournemouth in their last 4 matches. They only managed to score 1 draw in those 4 matches, along with 3 losses. That currently leaves them in the 16th place in the EPL with 6 points from 9 matches.

Newcastle United are dead-last in the EPL and are one of the two winless teams, with 2 draws and 7 losses in 9 matches. Newcastle have been just abysmal to start the season in the EPL and have managed to score only 6 goals in 9 opening matches.

This will be a tough defensive battle where a single score might decide the outcome of the game. I find it difficult to trust both of these clubs and pick between them. It will all depend on who will control the midfield in this one.

Brighton & Hove Albion vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

Time: Saturday, October 27th 2018, 16:00 CET (10:00 EST)

Venue: Amex Stadium

Brighton & Hove Albion Provisional Starting XI

  • GK – Ryan
  • Defense – Duffy, Dunk, Bong and Bruno
  • Midfield – Kyle, March and Stephenson
  • Attack – Locadia, Jahanbakhsh and Izquierdo

Wolverhampton Wanderers Provisional Starting XI

  • GK – Rui Patricio
  • Defense – Bennet, Boly, Doherty and Coady
  • Midfield – Neves, Moutinho and Jonny
  • Attack – Jota, Costa and Jimenez

Brighton & Hove Albion are hosting Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Amex Stadium this Sunday in a matchup of two sides that hold defense close to their heart and as a tool for success.

Brighton & Hove Albion have beaten West Ham United and Newcastle United in back-to-back weeks and are currently in the 12th place in the EPL with 11 points in 9 matches. They are a typical home team, having lost just a single game at home this season, a 1-2 narrow defeat to Tottenham Hotspurs.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are in the middle of a great start in their first season in the EPL since being promoted from the English Championship. They have 15 points from 9 matches and are currently in the 9th place in the EPL.

This one could go either way but I believe that Brighton & Hove Albion’s home form is impressive and they will be really difficult to beat at Amex Stadium. I believe a draw is the most likely outcome in this one.

Leicester City vs West Ham United

Time: Saturday, October 27th 2018, 18:30 CET (12:30 EST)

Venue: King Power Stadium

Leicester City Provisional Starting XI

  • GK – Schmeichel
  • Defense – Evans, Maguire, Chilwell and Pereira
  • Midfield – Albrighton, Mendy, Gray and Ndidi
  • Attack – Maddison and Iheanacho

West Ham United Provisional Starting XI

  • GK – Fabianski
  • Defense – Diop, Zabaleta, Cresswell and Balbuena
  • Midfield – Anderson, Rice, Noble, Antonio and Snodgrass
  • Attack – Arnautovic

Leicester City will welcome West Ham United in the final match of Saturday’s slate of matches in the Matchweek 10 of the English Premier League. Both sides will try to get back on track after two consecutive defeats and this match has significant implications for both their league ranking and player confidence.

Leicester City are currently in the 11th place in the EPL with 12 points from 9 matches. Their season has been the story of two opposites, great and underwhelming performances. They have looked confident and solid in their 4 wins and outmatched and lost in their 5 losses.

After a terrible start in the EPL and 4 opening losses, West Ham United have improved and are now in the 14th place in the EPL with 7 points from 9 matches. Yet, two consecutive defeats in last 2 weeks are not encouraging as they are quite vulnerable of dropping into relegation zone once again.

Leicester City are favorites in this one at home and should have enough to overcome an inconsistent West Ham United side.

Burnley vs Chelsea

Time: Sunday, October 28th 2018, 15:30 CET (09:30 EST)

Venue: Turf Moor

Burnley Provisional Starting XI

  • GK – Hart
  • Defense – Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee and Taylor
  • Midfield – Gudmundsson, Hendrick, Defour, Cork and Lennon
  • Attack – Vokes

Chelsea Provisional Starting XI

  • GK – Arrizabalaga
  • Defense – Rudiger, Luiz, Alonso and Azpilicueta
  • Midfield – Kovacic, Kante and Jorginho
  • Attack – Hazard, Willian and Morata

Burnley will have their hands full this Sunday, as Chelsea roll into town in this intriguing Matchweek 10 match in the EPL. Burnley’s defense will be put to test as undefeated Chelsea try to continue their impressive streak.

Burnley have struggled in the opening matches of the English Premier League, as they had trouble playing on two fronts in the EPL and UEFA Europa League. Ever since getting eliminated in the UEFA Europa League, they have improved and are currently in the 13th place in the EPL with 8 points in 9 matches.

Chelsea are one of the three undefeated sides in the EPL this season and are currently in the 3rd place in the EPL with a 2-point gap to league leaders Liverpool and Manchester City. With 6 wins and 3 draws in 9 matches, Chelsea are a legitimate contender for the EPL title this season.

Chelsea are the absolute favorites here but it will be far from a walk in the park. Burnley have a formidable defense and will do their best to slow down the tempo that Chelsea like to play in. Still, the Blues should be able to come out on top.

Crystal Palace vs Arsenal

Time: Sunday, October 28th 2018, 15:30 CET (09:30 EST)

Venue: Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace Provisional Starting XI

  • GK – Hennessy
  • Defense – Van Aanholt, Sakho, Tomkins and Wan-Bissaka
  • Midfield – Kouyate, Schlupp, Milivojevic, Townsend and McCarthy
  • Attack – Zaha

Arsenal Provisional Starting XI

  • GK – Leno
  • Defense – Bellerin, Mustafi, Lichtsteiner and Holding
  • Midfield – Mikhtaryan, Xhaka, Iwobi and Ozil
  • Attack – Torreira and Lacazette

Crystal Palace are hosting a red-hot Arsenal this Sunday at Selhurst Park. Can Crystal Palace’s struggling offense show signs of life in this one and help them score at least a point against an in-form opponent? It remains to be seen.

Crystal Palace are riding a 3-match losing streak in the EPL and have dropped to the 15th place in the EPL, with 7 points in 9 matches. The main issue is the Eagles offense that has been abysmal this season, scoring only 5 goals in 9 matches. The only team that has scored less is Huddersfield Town with 4 goals.
Arsenal Goal Celebration
Arsenal have dropped their 2 opening matches in the EPL but have since then won 7 straight matches and are currently in the 4th place in the EPL with 21 points in 9 matches. They also have the league’s 2nd best offense with 22 goals in 9 matches.

Arsenal are clear-cut favorites in this one and anything but their win should be considered an upset.

Manchester United vs Everton

Time: Sunday, October 28th 2018, 18:00 CET (12:00 EST)

Venue: Old Trafford

Manchester United Provisional Starting XI

  • GK – De Gea
  • Defense – Lindelof, Shaw, Smalling and Young
  • Midfield – Pogba, Matic and Mata
  • Attack – Lukaku, Rashford and Martial

Everton Provisional Starting XI

  • GK – Pickford
  • Defense – Digne, Coleman, Zouma and Keane
  • Midfield – Sigurdsson, Bernard, Gomes and Gueye
  • Attack – Richarlison and Walcott

Manchester United will welcome Everton to Old Trafford this Sunday, in a great matchup of two underperforming clubs in the English Premier League. Jose Mourinho seems to be coaching for his job in every match now and Marco Silva is under tremendous pressure after a preseason spending spree on new players.

Manchester United are in the middle of a nightmare season in the EPL, as they have set a new record for the worst start in the EPL in club history. Manchester United are currently in the 10th place in the EPL with just 14 points from 9 matches, 9 points behind the league leaders.

Everton have done slightly better and are currently in the 8th place in the EPL with 15 points from 9 matches. Everton are hopeful of a Top 7 finish this season and they are currently riding a streak of 3 consecutive wins in the EPL.

Manchester United will formally be the favorites in this one, but they have proven they cannot be trusted this season, with just 1 win in the last 4 matches. I believe is a realistic outcome in this one in a high scoring affair.

Tottenham Hotspurs vs Manchester City

Time: Monday, October 29th 2018, 16:00 CET (10:00 EST)

Venue: Wembley

Tottenham Hotspurs Provisional Starting XI

  • GK – Lloris
  • Defense – Alderweireld, Sanchez, Trippier and Dier
  • Midfield – Davies, Sissoko, Lamela and Wings
  • Attack – Moura and Kane

Manchester City Provisional Starting XI

  • GK – Ederson
  • Defense – Stones, Laporte, Mendy and Kompany
  • Midfield – Mahrez, Bernardo Silva, Fernandinho, David Silva and Sane
  • Attack – Aguero

The game of the week will take place at Wembley on Monday, where hosts Tottenham Hotspurs will welcome league-leaders Manchester City in a classic matchup. Both sides are known for their offensive displays and this should be a great match to enjoy.

Tottenham Hotspurs are currently in the 5th place in the EPL with 21 points from 9 matches. They are also riding a 4-match winning streak. They also have the 2nd best defense in the EPL after Liverpool and Manchester City.

Manchester City have been dominating opponents since the start of EPL. They have 23 points from 9 matches and are still undefeated. They are still sharing the 1st place in the EPL with Liverpool, but they are ranked ahead due to superior goal difference.

This one could go either way but Manchester City are slight favorites in this one. A high tempo and plenty of scoring opportunities in this match are a given. If the Citizens want to keep up with Liverpool in the title race, they have to win this one.
