LFA 134 Odds and Predictions for Gafurov vs Sousa

The LFA 134 Main Event is a bout between bantamweight striker and grappler. Souza has submitted two of his last five opponents, and is coming off the biggest win of his career in the defeat of 9-0 Alexander Keshtov at CFFC 81.
Gafurov has struggled as he’s taken on tougher fighters, losing to John Lineker at ONE and his last loss at DWCS.

LFA 134 Betting Odds and Tale of the Tape for Gafurov vs Sousa

Fighter  Muin Gafurov  Herbeth Sousa
Money Line Odds  EVEN -130
Pro Record  17-4 15-1
Last Five  3-2 5-0
Fight Camp  Kaizen MMA  Constrictor Team

Gafurov has fought the tougher set of opponents overall, and has been active in ONE FC since 2015. His biggest wins include then 10-2-1 Toni Tauru and 11-4 Walter Zamora. In Sousa’s one decision loss he faced Paulo Oliveira. Paulo is a muay thai style fighter, but Sousa has evolved quite a bit in the last six years.

LFA 134 Betting Pick for Gafurov vs Sousa

Gafurov’s level of competition is head and shoulders above the favorite. Sousa’s most recent win over Cage Warrior champion Alexander Keshtov is his only proof that he can manage knockout power.
Gafurov has shut down submission fighters like Walter Zamora and Leandro Issa of Evolve MMA. I see a bad style matchup for Sousa and a win for our LFA 134 prediction, Muin Gafurov at -100 odds, a dollar for dollar payout on your wager.

LFA 134 Odds and Predictions for Tucto vs Murad

The LFA co-main event pits submission fighter Tucto against a DWCS winner. Murad is fresh off an October split decision win at Contender Series. He’s finished four of his six opponents and is one of the strongest bets on this card.

LFA 134 Betting Odds and Tale of the Tape for Tucto vs Murad

Fighter  Milko Tucto  Olivier Murad
Money Line Odds  +275 -400
Pro Record  5-3 6-0
Last Five Fights  2-3 5-0
Fight Camp  Los Perros Sarnosos  Freedom Fighters

Tucto’s two wins are by submission and injury from submission. None of the fighters he’s faced have been on Murad’s level, and the fighters he’s finished have all head limited experience. Milko Tucto is difficult to put away, and no fighter has finished him to date, even as an amatuer.

LFA 134 Betting Pick for Tucto vs Murad

Murad has beaten better fighters before and survived more decorated submission specialists. Take the Murad money line at -400, a $25 payout per $100 wager.

LFA 134 Odds and Predictions for Coria vs Camacho

As a professional, Coria has finished all fighters in wins, but lost by RNC against undefeated BJJ fighter Michael Cyr. Cyr is a purple belt in BJJ, contrast to Camacho’s MMA only background.

LFA 134 Betting Odds and Tale of the Tape for Coria vs Camacho

Fighter  Alden Coria  Joseph Camacho
Money Line Odds  -400 +275
Pro Record  5-1 3-0
Amatuer Record  5-0 NA
Fight Camp  4oz Fight Club  Spike 21

Coria is a strong favorite, but Camacho is no slouch. He’s finished each opponent, including his first fight by knockout. Croia’s grappling looks to be superior to Camacho’s, so my only concern is Camacho’s punching power.

LFA 134 Betting Pick for Coria vs Camacho

From the quality of opponent faced, the training background and submission skill, our LFA 134 Prediction is Coria. The LFA 134 odds make his opponent a tempting bet with a great return, but we don’t see enough form Camacho to justify a bet against Coria. Take the $25 per $100 wagered on our LFA 134 prediction, Alden Coria.

LFA 134 Odds and Predictions for Sobnosky vs McLoughlin

McLoughlin is the clear favorite in a bout with the athletic Shane Sobonosky.

LFA 134 Betting Odds and Tale of the Tape for Sobnosky vs McLoughlin

Fighter  Shane Sobnsky  Jared McLoughlin
Money Line Odds  +340 -525
Pro Record  4-2 6-2
Amatuer Record  5-2 2-0
Fight Camp  None Clinch Martial Arts, Various

Sobnosky currently has no home gym. He’s an athlete and circus performer. He has no BJJ gym currently, and his pro wins have been via decision and TKO. McLoughlin is an effective ground striker.

LFA 134 Betting Pick for Sobnosky vs McLoughlin

Our LFA 134 betting pick is Jared McLoughlin. This bout shouldn’t be close, and Jared is a nice addition to a parlay ticket. Bet McLoughlin for $19.05 return per $100 wager, a $119.05 payout.

LFA 134 Odds and Predictions for Fernandez vs Harris

Both fighters are undefeated professionals. Harris has little experience, no amatuer wins, and pro wins over local fighters only, with his last bout back in 2019

LFA 134 Betting Odds and Tale of the Tape for Fernandez vs Harris

Fighter  Kevin Fernandez Jordan Harris
Money Line Odds  -500 +325
Pro Record  3-0 2-0
Amatuer Record  5-1 0-1
Fight Camp  Lamb Striking Academy Eastside MMA

Fernandez is on the rise, using defense focused striking to take decision wins over moderate fighters. He’s big on not getting hit, and I’d rather see a striker take no damage and win a decision that gets KOs for my MMA money line bet.

LFA 134 Betting Pick for Fernandez vs Harris

Our LFA 134 prediction is Fernandez at -500. He’s a major favorite for a reason, and his only loss was a split decision from six years ago. The kid has experience, including many local smoker style amatuer kickboxing sessions. Fernandez pays out at $20 per $100 wager.

LFA 134 Odds and Predictions for Savage vs Escamilla

Savage is a massive heavyweight, at 6’6’’ 266 lbs in his last weigh in. Escamilla was a collegiate wrestler, mid level BJJ fighter and knockout competitor himself.

LFA 134 Betting Odds and Tale of the Tape for Savage vs Escamilla

Fighter  Jakori Savage  Taylor Escamilla
Money Line Odds  -375 +260
Pro Record  1-0 1-0
Amatuer Record  4-1 2-0
Fight Camp  NA Dominion MMA, Legacy Jiu Jitsu

Savage lost a decision to a high level werstler early in his career. He has thirty pounds on Escamilla, but at the lower levels this can just determine who will gas out more quickly. Taylor has been active in BJJ since 2012 and is currently coaching at Dominion MMA.

LFA 134 Betting Pick for Savage vs Escamilla

Our LFA 134 prediction is the Savage. Taylor Escamilla has a stronger grappling background, something that has been Savage’s weakness in the past, but Savage played other professional sports and his athletic advantages are too great.

LFA 134 Odds and Predictions for Guzman vs Marlow

Two more undefeated pros. Tanner is a knockout ground striking artist that’s faced only fighters with losing records at his local California scene. Guzman has moderate striking and a great bottom game BJJ.

LFA 134 Betting Odds and Tale of the Tape for Guzman vs Marlow

Fighter  Joel Guzman Tanner Marlow
Money Line Odds  -200 +150
Pro Record  3-1 3-0
Amatuer Record  5-1 (Muay Thai) 3-1
Fight Camp  Lamb Striking Academy  Eric Nolan’s Xtreme training Center

Guzman should win the stand up exchanges and look to submit Marlow off his back. I don’t see an area where Marlow is dominant other than takedowns, which Guzman will accept to work submissions and upkicks.

LFA 134 Betting Pick for Guzman vs Marlow

I see a narrow Guzman win, likely a decision. Neither fighter has a terrible chin. Bet Guzman for a $50 return per $100 wager.

LFA 134 Odds and Predictions for Rondeau vs Gonzalez

Cody is a wrestler turned submission fighter with three career subs. Gonzalez has the experience advantage, but has two career submission losses in 2016-17. Mateo is a purple belt in BJJ as of 2020 and competed once for NAGA, losing to Ricky Turcios of TUF.

LFA 134 Betting Odds and Tale of the Tape for Rondeau vs Gonzalez

Fighter  Cody Rondeau  Mateo Gonzalez
Money Line Odds  -225 +170
Pro Record  1-0 2-0
Amatuer Record  3-0 4-4
Fight Camp  Blitz Sport MMA  NA

Rondeau is a good wrestler, so we’ll quickly see how Mateo does off his back. He’s still young at 24, and has plenty of skills to acquire. Cody is 29 and has been grappling much longer, working with Jake Brennan and Micheal Clemente. I see him getting another submission win.

LFA 134 Betting Pick for Rondeau vs Gonzalez

Bet the Rondeau money line. The LFA 134 odds have this one closer to even then I would have guessed. The Rondeau money line pays out at $44.44 per $100 wager.

LFA 134 Odds and Predictions for Owens vs Coronado

Gunner had four straight finishes as an amatuer, but as a pro he’s struggled. Coronado’s recent loss was to a 3-5 fighter for a Cajuns vs Cowboys show. Clearly an attempt to pad a record gone awry.

LFA 134 Betting Odds and Tale of the Tape for Owens vs Coronado

Fighter  Enrique Owens  Gunner Coronado
Money Line Odds  -225 +170
Pro Record  2-0 2-3
Amatuer Record  4-1 4-0
Fight Camp  NA Dominion

Owens has good knockout power, decent conditioning, resulting in two knockouts and four decision wins. His only loss is to Paris Moran, who is currently a Fury FC title contender.

LFA 134 Betting Pick for Owens vs Coronado

Owens is going to work Coronado. Again, the LFA 134 odds are titled less in favor of Owens than expected. Bet Owens for $44.44 per $100 wagerd.

LFA 134 Odds and Predictions for Archer vs Arnold

This is a classic striker versus grappler battle. Archer is the favorite, a striker with two knockouts across amatuer and pro bouts.

LFA 134 Betting Odds and Tale of the Tape for Archer vs Arnold

Fighter  Zumarr Archer Tanner Arnold
Money Line Odds  -250 +185
Pro Record  1-0 Debut
Amatuer Record  1-0 4-0
Fight Camp  Fortis MMA Lonestar BJJ

Arnold is a brown belt in BJJ, while Archer has only trained at MMA schools. He’s a talented grappler, and I see Arnold struggling to get the takedown. This bout is more competitive than oddsmakers are setting it out to be, and I won’t be betting the house on my LFA 134 pick.

LFA 134 Betting Pick for Archer vs Arnold

Our betting pick is the favorite, Zumarr Archer. Fortis MMA will have him focusing on takedown defense against a brown belt. Arnold has no classic wrestling training and his gym isn’t known for takedown quality. Archer pays out at $40 per $100 wager.

LFA 134 Odds and Predictions for Layne vs Miller

This is a striker versus grappler match up. Miller has a winning fight via TKO, and Layne has wins via submission, both as an amateuer.

LFA 134 Betting Odds and Tale of the Tape for Layne vs Miller

Fighter  Harrison Layne BJ Miller
Money Line Odds  -250 +250
Pro Record  0-1 0-1
Amatuer Record  NA 1-0
Fight Camp  McSweeney Martial Arts  NA

LFA 134 Betting Pick fo Layne vs Miller

With Layne’s knockout losses, I’m willing to bet BJ Miller. He’s landed TKO finishes before over TItus Young, a BJJ fighter. Let’s see if he can do the same to layne. Miller pays out at $250 per $100 wager.

LFA 134 Odds and Predictions for Guzman vs Lorello

This bout has been scrapped, but odds are still up. If you bet on it, you’ll see your money returned to your account at whichever betting site you’ve used.

LFA 134 Odds and Predictions for Lontine vs Engbrock

Neither fighter has shown much talent for MMA but they keep pushing on. Kudos to them for staying in the game.

LFA 134 Betting Odds and Tale of the Tape for Lontine vs Engbrock

Fighter  Ian Engbrock Steven Lontine
Money Line Odds  -475 +315
Pro Record  0-1 Debut
Amatuer Record  none 1-7
Fight Camp  Dominion MMA

Ian has had less losses overall but very little MMA experience. Lontine has been fighting for four years, and clearly wants to do something with MMA and must be improving to stay with it like this.

LFA 134 Betting Pick for Lontine vs Engbrock

I’ve found that Lontine does have some amatuer boxing wins back in 2019. He doesn’t look great on paper, but I think he’s the right pick. Bet Steven Lontine at +315. These LFA 134 odds offer $315 per $100 wager.

LFA 134 Fights With No Odds
Three bouts have no current odds. First Kieran Carthan vs Jordan Bradley. These fighters have no fighters amatuer or pro and no MMA background on record. Zarazua vs Oliver, which is a clear win for the rising amater Josh Zarazua, and Alramahi vs Moore, another clear win for undefeated amatuer Dawson Moore.
