Why Is Betting on LoL Worlds 2020 So Popular?
This is a great question, right here! Why do people love betting on LoL Worlds so much? Is it because of the sheer entertainment brought by the chaotic, complex, yet highly addicting gameplay… or is it something else entirely?
In my opinion, the general popularity of the game is what caused such a massive demand for LoL betting opportunities. Add to that the fact LoL Worlds is the biggest event in the game’s competitive calendar and you’ll understand the sheer size and mass behind the surge.

People love betting on premiere competitive gameplay, and that’s what 2020 LoL Worlds group stage betting is all about! There are no weak sides anymore. These sixteen remaining teams are the crème de la crème of professional League of Legends in 2020. They’ll provide you with all the action you could wish for, no doubt about it… both esports and betting-wise.
Where To Watch LoL Worlds 2020 Action?
Here’s another good question!
Even though we’re talking about the biggest event of 2020, you won’t be able to find it on your favorite TV channels. Instead, you’ll have to visit the world’s biggest streaming platform for gamers – Twitch. If that’s not an option, you can always use the LoL Worlds YouTube channel. Those are the two main places that will feature live LoL Worlds 2020 group stage action.
Of course, the coverage goes beyond just the matches. There are podcasts, pre-match shows, post-match shows, and much more available during the event. Although, I’m sure you know about that stuff if you’ve watched the last year’s iteration.

2020 LoL Worlds Group Stage Betting Tips
As mentioned earlier, there are only sixteen teams left in the competition at this point. They’re divided into four groups, and only the two best teams in each group advance to the playoffs. The first group stage matches kick off on Saturday, October 3rd and are set to be divided into two weeks. The group stage ends on October 11th, followed by the start of the final stage (playoffs) four days later.
Now, let’s focus on the 2020 LoL Worlds group stage betting tips by checking out and analyzing all four groups!
Group A Betting Predictions
- G2 Esports
- Machi Esports
- Team Liquid
LoL betting sites are pretty sure G2 is going to win group A! At -118, the European champions are the slight favorites, just above the third LPL seed, Suning. Even though Perkz and the boys had a shaky regular season, they turned a new page in the final stage of the competition, and are finally looking like the G2 almighty we all know and love. They’re still a liability, in a way, but -118 on them to win the group is still what I’m going with here.
If you’re fancying Team Liquid, you’ll love your 2020 LoL Worlds group stage betting opportunities. At the time of writing, Team Liquid to qualify is at +300, a pretty hefty value considering the form and circumstances surrounding everyone’s favorite LCS side.
Group B Betting Predictions
- DAMWON Gaming
- JD Gaming
- PSG Talon
The situation in group B seems pretty straightforward. DAMWON, the LCK champions, are going to be battling it out with JDG, the second-best LPL team. And while everyone seems to think DAMWON will win group B (including most bookies), I for one don’t share the same beliefs. Considering everything we’ve seen from Zoom and the boys thus far, I consider them to be the group B favorites. At +120, though, it might not be the best value… but it’s the best of what this group has to offer, really.
One thing is for sure – I doubt we’ll see anything noteworthy from PSG Talon. The same goes for Rogue too, although I kind of wish they create at least one upset during the group stage, just to complicate things for the big boys… at least for a bit. Anyways, we’ve gone a bit off-topic here, so let’s move to the next group!
Group C Betting Predictions
- Gen.G Esports
- LGD Gaming
- Team SoloMid
Call me crazy but I kind of fancy Fnatic’s chances of winning group C. I mean, group C is as close as they come. Realistically speaking, all four teams have real chances of going through to the playoffs. Gen.G are the obvious favorites, though the second-best European team will want to prove their worth. I don’t need to be the one to mention Fnatic’s playoffs course… Plus, they might cross with group D in the first round of playoffs, meaning they’ll want to avoid the second place at all costs.
Fnatic to win group C is currently sitting at +260. A fine value if I may add! But, it’s too risky, especially knowing both Gen.G and Fnatic will be hoping to get away from Top Esports in the first knockout round. That said, I think Fnatic advancing to the playoffs is almost certain… and as far as my 2020 LoL Worlds group stage betting tip for group C goes, I suggest going with Fnatic to qualify at -143. It brings forth the optimal balance between risk and value, don’t you agree?
Group D Betting Predictions
- Top Esports
- Unicorns of Love
Needless to say, Top Esports are the main favorites to win group D. Heck, not just group D but the entire event! They’ve been a force to be reckoned with for far too long now, and have won every competition they competed on since the 2020 Mid Season Cup. Unfortunately, though, bookies are well-aware of TE’s dominance, so they have them at -400 to win the group. I mean, it’s a good bet if you’re going with a 2020 LoL Worlds group stage betting accumulator… but for anything else, it just won’t be able to cut it.
Who’s the second team that’ll go through to the playoffs from group D? Well, I believe we can write off Unicorns of Love right off the bat. The second-place drama will be between DragonX and FlyQuest. The second-best LCK team should cruise to the second place, but American prodigies won’t let them go so easily. It will be a tightly contested second-place battle, that’s for sure!

Outright Winner Betting on 2020 LoL Worlds
Who’s going to win LoL Worlds 2020? I wish I could tell you the right answer right away, but all I can do is guess! First off, though, let’s check out the 2020 LoL Worlds betting odds for outright winner bets:
Obviously, Top Esports are the main favorites at +175. They’ve been the toughest, most dominant LPL team and are understandably at the pole position. However, DAMWON isn’t that far behind at +250, leading us to think the LCK is still ranking pretty high.
Honestly, I can’t give you any valid advice here. Any of the first four teams can win it, really. I doubt we’ll see a wildcard winner, if that means anything to you. But, as far as the specific winner between Top Esports, DAMWON, JDG, and G2 goes, I’m afraid you’re on your own! Those are not the kind of 2020 LoL Worlds betting picks I promised.
That said, we’re ready to wrap everything up ahead of the first day of group stage action.
May the odds be in your favor!
