The Central Arkansas Bears and Texas A&M Aggies are scheduled to meet at Reed Arena in Texas on Wednesday night. Central Arkansas is on the road looking for only their third win of the season.
They are coming off a 90-56 win over the Hendrix College Warriors. There was no point spread or total for that matchup, as is usually the case when a school like Hendrix is involved.

A 34-point win sounds nice, but several high school teams could beat Hendrix. A win is a win, and Central Arkansas’ six-game losing streak ended.
In their other win this season, they beat Oral Roberts in a 12-point upset on November 20. Following that performance, the Aggies went cold with six straight losses.
Any offense that has a pulse is scoring at will versus the Bears. Hendrix does not have a pulse, so Central Arkansas looked good for a night.

Texas A&M enters a three-game winning streak following a 102-52 win over the Dallas Christian Crusaders. The Aggies have a win in six of their last seven attempts.
Their only loss during that stretch was a close one against the TCU Horned Frogs on a neutral court, 68-64. Texas A&M’s biggest win this season thus far is a 73-67 win over Notre Dame as 3.5-point underdogs on November 24 on a neutral court.
Central Arkansas needs their best effort of the season if they’re going to make this one interesting in Texas. Head below for our free Central Arkansas vs. Texas A&M pick on December 29, 2021.

Central Arkansas vs. Texas A&M Prediction:
The Central Arkansas Bears need to find some defense in College Stadium tonight. Their defensive effort has been anemic so far, and I don’t see much of a turnaround on the road.
They rate as one of the worst defenses in the NCAA. Central Arkansas is 356th out of 358 teams with 84.7 points against per game.
Opponents are shooting 48.2% from the field for 347th in the nation. For a game against Hendrix College, they had their defense working.
On the road at Texas A&M, expect Central Arkansas to revert to their problematic defense. The Aggies have been solid offensively, with 75.5 points per game and a field goal percentage of 45.7%.
At home this season, the Aggies have scored 81.6 points a game with a 46.3% field goal percentage. Central Arkansas’ defense has gotten walloped for 94.4 points against on the road.
Central Arkansas Bears vs. Texas A&M Aggies Betting Trends:
- 3-8 ATS in their previous 11 games
- 3-9 ATS in their previous 12 games as an underdog
- 3-12 ATS in their previous 15 games on the road
- 1-6 ATS in their previous seven games on a Wednesday
- 0-6 ATS in their previous six games after a win
- 4-1 ATS in their previous five games as a betting favorite
- 6-13 ATS in their previous 19 games as a favorite at Texas A&M
- 4-12 ATS in their previous 16 games after a win
- OVER is 4-1 in their previous five games
- OVER is 4-1 in their previous five games after a win
The Aggies can get after it defensively if they need to get physical tonight. They have conceded 61.3 points per game and limit teams to a 39.8% field goal percentage.
Texas A&M has allowed 58.3 points per game at home in College Station, with teams shooting 38.3% versus the Aggies. I can’t see Central Arkansas finding room to score.
Central Arkansas’ defense is worst than their offense, though they haven’t done much on the offensive floor as well. The Bears are shooting just 27.3% from three for 343rd in the NCAA.
If they need to catch up in a hurry with the three, it’s unlikely to happen from downtown. Fighting for rebounds hasn’t been a strength of the Bears, either. Central Arkansas is 326th on the defensive and 307th on the offensive boards.
Look for the Aggies to open up a big lead and pull away, to name the score. I’m anticipating an 86-54 final in favor of Texas A&M in this one to win and cover.
