On Tuesday, the Bonnies are coming off a 76-68 win over at Colorado as a 3.5-game underdog in the NIT opener. St. Bonaventure were coming off a tough loss in the A10 Tournament to Saint Louis.
Saint Louis edged St. Bonaventure out by a point for a first-round exit in the conference tournament with a 57-56 loss. Tough for a Bonnies squad that was playing good basketball down the stretch.
St. Bonaventure won eight of their previous nine games before falling to Saint Louis by a point. St. Bonaventure isn’t going to lay down for Oklahoma in this one.
Despite getting bounced from the first-round of the A10 Tournament, St. Bonaventure looked like a tournament team down the stretch. They will have to deal with an Oklahoma team running well recently.
The Sooners are coming off an 89-72 win over the Missouri State Bears. Missouri State was playing quality basketball going into Norman, but couldn’t keep pace with the Sooners.

Oklahoma upset Baylor in the first-round of the Big 12 Tournament, 72-67, then lost a tough one against Texas Tech, 56-55. This was not a “bad” loss for Oklahoma. The Red Raiders are a very good team.
The Sooners go into the Second Round with five wins in their previous six outings, some of which were impressive. Head below for our free St. Bonaventure vs. Oklahoma prediction on March 20, 2022.

St. Bonaventure vs. Oklahoma Prediction:
St. Bonaventure relied on an aggressive defense over the last month of the season to give themselves a chance to win the A10.
At times, the Bonnies looked like the best team in the conference, as the Bonnies allowed fewer than 60 points in four of their previous seven attempts.
However, the same could be said for Oklahoma, which locked down through the final stretch of the season. Missouri State and Kansas State are the only teams since February 19 to score more than 70 points against Oklahoma.
Overall this season, Oklahoma had the better defensively statistically than St. Bonaventure. This was while playing in a tougher conference.
Oklahoma was 51st in the NCAA with 64.9 points against per game. They were one of the better teams on the perimeter, as the Sooners held the opposition to a three-point percentage of 31.4%.
Conversely, St. Bonaventure is 104th with 66.6 points allowed per game. Oklahoma likes to make the most out of their trips down the floor offensively, so the Bonnies need to get stops.
St. Bonaventure Bonnies vs. Oklahoma Sooners Betting Trends:
- 7-3-1 ATS in their previous 11 games
- 3-8 ATS in their previous 11 games on the road
- 2-5 ATS in their previous seven games as an underdog
- 2-8 ATS in their previous ten games on the road versus a team with a winning record at home
- 3-8-1 ATS in their previous 12 games after covering the spread
- 6-0 ATS in their previous six games
- 5-0 ATS in their previous five games after a win
- 3-1-1 ATS in their previous five games at home
- 5-1 overall in their previous six games versus St. Bonaventure
- 4-1 ATS in their previous five games at home
The Sooners don’t have many wasted offensive series. Oklahoma is shooting 47.7% from the field for 27th in the NCAA. They may not score the most points at a 68.8% clip, but the Sooners are efficient and take smart shot attempts.
With their defense, it’s good enough to be a decent enough team and pull off an upset here and there. St. Bonaventure is shooting 45.3% from the field with only a 32.1% three-point percentage.
Oklahoma should take away St. Bonaventure on the perimeter and grind the Bonnies out of this game. The Sooners likely pull away at home in the second half. After a close game, the Sooners edge ahead for a 72-62 or 74-66 win in Norman.
