DIG vs C9 is a truly peculiar match-up, one that is much more interesting and important than it might seem at first glance; predictions will surely lean towards the former LCS champions, but if things pan out as expected, we might witness a much more competitive clash than the odds would suggest.
And, needless to say, both teams will be playing under an immense amount of pressure seeing how they’re the only ones that have yet to get a win on the board.
The reason why Cloud9 failed as much as they did is because they didn’t have their full starting line-up. They just weren’t as dangerous and capable as they would’ve been had Berserker and Zven been able to play.
So at least they have an alibi — and a very good one, at that.,
Dignitas, on the other hand, don’t even have that much. They were simply outclassed by all three of their opponents and that, in short, is a reason for worry.
DIG vs C9 Predictions — Not a Good Look
The fact that Dignitas got stomped by Team Liquid and 100 Thieves should really come as no surprise. It was to be expected. Them losing to Counter Logic Gaming, however, was definitely a shocker.
They’ve seemingly regressed, and we’re not quite sure whether they’ll be able to bounce back in time for it to matter. Are they better than TSM FTX? Maybe, maybe not. What about Immortals? That, too, is up for debate.
Now sure, they will improve and grow over the coming weeks, but so will their opponents. By the end of it all, we don’t think they’ll be in a good enough position to challenge for a spot in the playoffs, but we’re not yet willing to count them out either.
Their line-up is one of immense strength and potential, and if all five of their players can “click” and get on the same page — and there’s really no reason why they wouldn’t — they’ll no doubt be able to challenge for the LCS throne.
And, well, there’s very little (if anything) that Dignitas QNTMPAY will be able to do about it.
