2022 LEC Summer Split Betting | RGE vs. MSF Predictions & Match Analysis

By the looks of it, RGE vs MSF isn’t going to be nearly as competitive — and, by proxy, entertaining — as we thought it’d be coming into the split; as far as predictions go, this one’s as simple and straight-forward as it gets, but we’re not all too happy for that being the case.

Misfits showed great promise back in Spring which is why we’re so surprised to see them at the very bottom of the standings after the first week of play. Three games and three losses for a team that traded the heaviest of blows with the LEC pantheon last split. How in the world is that even possible? They look nothing like their former selves.

They’re sloppy, out of sync, and slow to react — it’s like they’ve regressed both individually and as a five-man unit.

And, needless to say, it hasn’t been an easy thing to observe and stomach. Now sure, three games is by no means the most viable of sample sizes, but it’s less about the tally itself and more about their level of play — a level which was wholly unacceptable and, at times, truly abysmal.

Even Vetheo, one of the most promising mid laners the LEC has had in years, has been pretty darn underwhelming thus far (for reasons that still elude us).

Will they be able to bounce back in time for it to matter? We’ll find out soon enough.

Rogue — An Iffy Start

The boys in blue haven’t had the best of starts but that, too, can be excused given whom they’ve had to face. Losses to G2 Esports and Fnatic are by no means crushing defeats nor are they a big enough reason to sound the alarms.

Be that as it may, Rogue didn’t exactly hit the ground running. That much is a fact.

They could’ve easily finished the week with three losses to their name, and that, too, is something one ought to keep in mind (and rightfully criticize).

The fact that Rogue barely clawed their way back against MAD is in no way impressive for a team that shouldn’t have been at that big of a deficit in the first place. And so, really, it’s hard not to be at least a little bit worried.

Fortunately, we know just how good and capable they really are, and the same goes for Rogue’s immensely capable coaching staff as well. They’ve been through it all and should, by all means, be able to bounce back in record time.

They need to get a statement win on the board and they need one soon. Beating Misfits in as tremendous a fashion as possible should definitely be at the top of their list of priorities.

If they play their cards right, they will be able to come out ahead. Whether it’ll be as one-sided as we expect still remains to be seen though. In any case, there’s a reason to tune in!
