At long last: a match-up worth talking about! VIT vs G2 could, by all means, end up being a barnburner — the kind we all love and cherish in the innermost chambers of our hearts! As far as predictions go, however, the incumbent champions are the only ones worth betting on. They’re atop the region for a very good reason and that’s not going to change any time soon.
They are by no means on G2’s level, but that doesn’t mean they’re incapable of fighting back and putting on a show because that they very much are. Players like Alphari, Perkz, and Carzzy are astoundingly talented and if they happen to show up, Vitality will stand a puncher’s chance no matter whom they might be up against.
We’re still not quite sure what to think of their slightly updated line-up, though.
VIT vs G2 Predictions — Not on the Same Level
Haru has been… serviceable, just like we expected him to be. Not too good, not too bad — just okay. Whether Vitality needed such a player still remains to be seen. We, for one, are not convinced.
We just cannot envision a world in which Vitality end up any higher than they did back in Spring. They’re not better than G2 or Rogue or Fnatic or even MAD Lions. They are, by all metrics, a “middle of the pack” team.
Who would’ve thought! A team with the best Western player of all time, the most lane dominant top laner in LEC history, and a two-time champion marksman is barely scraping by. A strange twist, no doubt.
G2 Esports are obviously better, even though they might not look like it from a “pound for pound” perspective. They’re more cohesive, more adept at the current meta, and they’re also friends, too.
That might sound like a trifle thing, but it’s actually of the utmost importance.
With all of that being said, Vitality have shown signs of life. They probably won’t amount to much once everything is said and done but at least they’re not stagnating. In the absence of any great triumph, these little ones should still be celebrated.
In any case, betting on G2 is undoubtedly the only logical option. They’re still at the top of their game and should, by all means, be able to handle whatever Vitality might bring to the table.
