2022 Mid-Season Invitational Betting | G2 vs. RNG Predictions and Match Analysis

Predictions for G2 vs. RNG will be all over the place, and even though most folks will surely lean towards the LPL champions (and rightfully so), we can definitely envision a world in which G2 come out on top.

It might be unlikely, but it certainly isn’t impossible.

The thing is, we all thought T1 and RNG were a cut above coming into this year’s Mid-Season Invitational. They seemed the most capable and, by proxy, the most likely to go the “whole nine yards.” G2 Esports, however, came in swinging and have shown very few weaknesses thus far. Granted, they didn’t go up against any top-tier teams, but the point stands nonetheless.

They thrive off of momentum, and they currently have it in spades. Everyone’s been playing out of their minds and that especially holds true for the legendary Rasmus “caPs” Winther. He has finally started playing like the caPs of yore and, needless to say, we’re excited beyond measure for that being the case. It certainly took him a while, but better late than never.

That’s yet another reason why predicting this particular game feels nigh impossible. G2 have that well-known “X factor.” They’re flexible, creative, and perhaps the only team at this year’s MSI that can match RNG’s proclivity for aggression and bloodshed. That one fact cannot be overstated.

That is, perhaps, the only way a team can beat the LPL representatives: by being equally as “unhinged” whilst making no mistakes whatsoever. The odds are obviously stacked against G2 (hardly a surprise), but they definitely have a shot.

G2 vs. RNG Predictions | A Lot More Even Than It Looks

We’re still quite unsure of just how good G2 actually are. They’re immensely talented and capable, there’s no doubt about it, but are they talented and capable enough to stand a chance against a towering giant like Royal Never Give Up?

That’s the million dollar question here and, frankly, there’s no definitive answer in sight.

We are, therefore, going in blind on this one.

Royal Never Give Up are obviously favored, but they’d be wise not to underestimate the LEC champions, lest they get upset and beaten on the second biggest stage in the world. In any case, it’ll be a clash of titans and two exceedingly aggressive teams, both of which have the tools to come out on top and, in doing so, make one heck of a statement.
