G2 vs. SGB is about as volatile a match-up as we can now imagine, and everyone’s predictions will surely reflect it as well. And, make no mistake: this is not a good thing by any stretch of the imagination.
Not only are G2 on a four-game losing streak, but Saigon Buffalo have also registered their very first win. And, well, we’re not quite sure which of these two developments make less sense.
One thing’s for certain: it is a very worrying trend, and if G2 want to stand even the slightest chance of beating Royal Never Give Up and T1 in a Best of 5, they will have to work around the clock to shore up their most egregious (and quite exploitable) weaknesses.
We all believe in G2’s ability to weather the proverbial storm but are nonetheless worried beyond measure that they won’t have enough time to fix what needs fixing.
We’ll get our answers soon enough.
G2 vs. SGB | A Lot More Competitive Than It Looks
The LEC representatives are head and shoulders better than Saigon Buffalo. An obvious statement, we know, but a wholly correct one as well. That, however, doesn’t mean they’ll be able to get away with the win.
They’re still laughing and fooling around, but their last four losses are surely gnawing at them during their waking hours.
Saigon Buffalo, on the other hand, are totally unleashed now that they have nothing left to fight for. They’ll only get to play two more games after which they’ll pack their bags and go back home, which means they’re bound to start throwing wild haymakers from the very moment they spawn on the Summoner’s Rift.
Will G2 be able to handle the pressure? Will they be able to bounce back and finally get another win on the board? We’ll find out soon enough.
