2022 Mid-Season Invitational Betting | RNG vs. IW Predictions and Match Analysis

As far as predictions go, RNG vs. IW is as simple and straightforward as it gets. There’s such a large gap between these two teams we might as well call it a canyon — and a most tremendous one at that. And, well, no one should be overly surprised for that being the case.

NOT ON THE SAME LEVEL
We have the LPL behemoths on the one side — and one of the biggest frontrunners to win this year’s Mid-Season Invitational — and the TCL champions on the other. The disparity in talent and experience between them is about as vast as it gets.

Granted, fastPay Wildcats (formerly known as Istanbul Wildcats) are a fair bit better than we expected, but they’re still not good enough to truly stand a chance against a towering giant like Royal Never Give Up. And, well, there’s no shame in that. It’s not like any of us thought they’d be able to compete with the very best teams the world of competitive League of Legends has to offer.

Right now, as things stand, they still have a shot at making it out of groups, but after dropping to PSG Talon, the odds of them advancing further have plummeted quite a bit.

RNG vs. IW Predictions | A Foregone Conclusion

Betting on Royal Never Give Up is the only logical choice — both now and in the future as well. They’re a cut above, and only two teams might stand a chance at beating them: T1 and G2 Esports.

They are the only ones with a puncher’s chance, but they, too, will struggle mightily against this towering giant from the LPL. They’re astonishingly capable, and while they might not be as precise and coherent as was the case back in 2021, they’re still more than capable enough to go the distance and, potentially, defend their MSI throne.
