2022 Mid-Season Invitational Betting | RNG vs. PSG Predictions and Match Analysis

Predictions for RNG vs. PSG will surely lean towards the former and, well, it’s easy to understand why — the gap between them is simply insurmountable. Still, the PCS champions should never be underestimated; they aren’t as good as was the case back in 2021 but they’re still a dangerous opponent and can, by all means, pull off an upset when you least expect them to.

Then again, it’s hard to shake off the sights of them getting smacked around and beaten to a pulp by the RED Canids. They looked like a bunch of scrubs. There’s really no other way to put it. Heck, they didn’t even get a single kill on the board!

Let that sink in.

Now, the Canids are by no means a pushover, but you’d still expect the PCS champions to be somewhat competitive. That, unfortunately, wasn’t the case. Was it “stage fright?” A bad read on the meta? Or, perhaps, the fact that they no longer had Kim “River” Dong-woo and Huang “Maple” Yi-Tang competing under their banner?

Their previous jungle-mid duo was absolutely vital in their success. That much is clear, perhaps now more than ever. Still, they’re a very capable bunch and are not to be trifled with. They might not be favored to get out of groups, but they’ll still put up one heck of a fight and, by proxy, entertain the masses.

RNG vs. PSG Predictions | The LPL Is a Cut Above

RNG’s first outing against the Fastpay Wildcats was about as dominant and commanding as we all thought it’d be. They did make a few sloppy mistakes, but that, too, was to be expected given their proclivity for skirmishing and throwing caution out the window. That’s the RNG we all know and love: exceedingly capable but also somewhat unhinged.

NOT TO BE TRIFLED WITH
PSG Talon, despite falling off a cliff performance-wise, are still a more layered team compared to the TCL champions. They should, therefore, put up a much bigger fight against Royal Never Give Up. Then again, one can never be too certain given the way things have developed thus far.

In any case, the LPL champions are heavily favored here and there’s a very good reason why: they’re one of the biggest favorites to win this year’s Mid-Season Invitational, and if they play their cards right they probably won’t struggle much to get the “W.”
