As far as predictions go, SGB vs. T1 isn’t nearly as “simple” as it might seem at first glance. The LCK champions are obviously favored, but if the first game in which these two teams faced off is anything to go by, things could end up being a lot more competitive than the odds would suggest.
Saigon Buffalo are not messing around. They’re deceptively capable and are feisty beyond all measure. They’re also better on an individual level than anyone thought possible — the things their bottom lane duo did to Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong and Ryu “Keria” Min-seok left us speechless.
These two styled over what many pundits across the globe deem as the absolute best bottom lane duo in the world. The rest of Saigon, naturally, harnessed their lead and were able to keep up with the biggest tournament favorites throughout the vast majority of their first outing.
It was an absolutely spectacular showing and, needless to say, we can’t wait for them to once again step foot on stage and compete!
SGB vs. T1 Predictions — A Spectacle in the Making
Saigon Buffalo have made their intentions clear. They’re an exceptionally capable team (relative to everyone’s pre-tournament expectations) and are also confident in their ability to compete with the crème de la crème.
That’s what the VCS is so well known for: their fearless approach and “unhinged” approach to the game. Their best teams share many similarities with those from the LPL, and while they might not be as well-rounded, they are nonetheless truly capable and are not to be trifled with.
That being said, they’re going up against T1. That’s about as tall an order as it gets. Saigon might be better than we expected, but they’re still not good enough to compete on even footing (and actually win) with a giant like T1.
