2022 Mid-Season Invitational Betting | T1 vs. RNG Predictions and Match Analysis

Predictions for T1 vs. RNG will surely be all over the place and it’s easy to understand why; the LPL champions, however, should be able to come out on top. That’s the most likely scenario, although one cannot be too certain about anything, what with so many upsets happening each and every single day.

This year’s Mid-Season Invitational has been both incredibly exciting and vexing to the extreme. That’s perhaps the only way one can explain it.

We’re in dire need of some concrete answers. Have G2 Esports imploded? Are Evil Geniuses on the rise? Will T1 be able to adapt in time? These are all hugely important questions and, fortunately, we won’t have to wait long to see them get answered.

One thing’s for certain though: Royal Never Give Up are the de facto best and most capable team at the tournament and it’s not even up for debate. They’re not perfect, mind you, but they’ve nonetheless been able to deliver and thrive whenever their backs were up against the wall.

T1 vs. RNG — As Even As It Gets

We witnessed quite a barnburner the first time these two giants clashed off. This second game should be no different and we’re glad beyond measure for that being the case.

Once more we will side with the defending MSI champions — for reasons that need no explaining.

This, in short, is not the T1 we expected. This is a flawed, inconsistent, and exploitable simulacrum. There’s really no other way to put it. The bursts of brilliance are still there (and are as impressive as ever), but they haven’t been as frequent as they need to be for T1 to really stand a chance at going the distance.

They’re flawless in the early game, but that alone means very little if they cannot transition and further snowball their leads to victory. They’re still an immensely dangerous contender, but we doubt they were able to shore up their most egregious flaws overnight.

Going with RNG, therefore, is the only logical option. They’re not the epitome of consistency either, but they have been a fair bit more impressive lately, and if they draft well and don’t make any egregious blunders early on, they should be able to come out on top once everything is said and done.
