As far as predictions go, EG vs. SGB is about as simple as it gets! The gap between them might not be tremendous, but it does exist. We’ve already seen them clash on the Summoner’s Rift and, needless to say, the LCS representatives were not only able to weather the storm but also put on a clinic on their Vietnamese adversaries.
They’re the only team that still hasn’t gotten a win on the board and, well, that’ll almost surely remain the case for as long as they are scheduled to compete. They’re better than we thought they’d be, but they’re still not good enough to tango with the rest of their peers.
Be that as it may, they have earned our respect and admiration.
EG vs. SGB Predictions | Pretty Darn Lopsided
Evil Geniuses are by no means infallible. They’ve dropped many a game thus far and, odds are, they’ll drop a few more en route to reaching the third and final stage of the tournament.
They might seem incapable, but they’re actually a fair bit better than their record would imply. They’re a great team overall but are just insufficiently talented to rub shoulders with T1, G2 Esports, and Royal Never Give Up — and that’s okay.
Saigon Buffalo, on the other hand, probably won’t present much of a challenge. They won’t just roll over and surrender, but we don’t think they have what it takes to emerge victorious — at least not if Evil Geniuses come out the gates swinging.
