Another day, another set of CSGO betting opportunities to explore! Cloud9 vs. OG predictions is what we’re here for, a nicely poised matchup that’ll see one of these two teams off into the group stage.
Unlucky OG who just missed the opportunity to get back into the game vs. Liquid following a massive comeback… or Cloud9 who took their time with Movistar Riders after losing to Team Spirit in the opening round?
GGs @TeamLiquidCS.
Hope our paths cross again soon.
It was a long and entertaining day.

Well, there might be more to this matchup than meets the eye at first glance. OG is coming into this match as the favorite team, though I wouldn’t count Cloud9 out right off the bat.
But, let’s not get ahead of ourselves here. We have a lot of stuff to cover in our Cloud9 vs. OG predictions so let’s start digging!
Cloud9 vs. OG Predictions
Even though we don’t have the official odds in for this match (since OG vs. Liquid finished roughly ten minutes ago), I can say with plenty of certainty that OG are the heavy favorites coming into this one. Allow me to elaborate:
Form
Form-wise, OG are a much better team. Don’t get me wrong, they haven’t been a force to be reckoned with, but they budged in times of need and looked good even when they were on the losing end of things.
Even though Xeppaa seems to have settled in just fine, things haven’t been going well for Cloud9. Elmapuddy could be the winning trinket they need to kick things up a notch, but I could be wrong… Only time will tell, I’m afraid.
Map Pool Stats
Why do I keep saying this is going to be a close encounter?
Well, it’s because the map pool stats are pretty solid across the board. We could see a 2:0 blowouts on both ends, all depending on momentum. Both teams are well-versed on Overpass and Dust 2; OG will fancy Mirage and Cloud9 will want to test their luck on Nuke.
The stats don’t really give a clear advantage here, making Cloud9 vs. OG picks a rather tricky territory.
Individual Aspects
Even though I love what Xeppaa could bring for Cloud9 in the foreseeable future, I don’t think we’ll see him start contributing greatly right off the bat… or anytime soon, for that matter. He’s settled in nicely, that’s true, but it will take a lot more time for him to show true potential under new colors.
They’ve been the leading men for OG for quite a while now, with ISSAA and Aleksib doing all they can to keep up. NBK is the forgotten maestro – he’s the prime roster alteration candidate, should OG considering making a move on the transfer market.

All in all, I reckon this is going to be another tightly contested matchup. Much tighter than most fanboys expect, to be more precise. OG is the favorite, that goes without saying… but beating Cloud9 won’t be anything close to a mere formality!
However, if we take into account C9’s performances against Spirit and Movistar, and combine them with OG’s Fnatic and Liquid matches, we’ll realize they’re miles apart. OG had a relatively easy task with Fnatic – easier than I had predicted.
They almost went all the way to secure overtime on the decider map against Liquid too… whereas Cloud9 lost to Spirit and struggled with Movistar on both Overpass and Nuke.
Should You Bet on This Match?
Here comes the big question – if it could go either way, should you bet on this match? Well, if you’re going to stay away from it because it’s a tight contest, you might as well do so with every other CSGO betting opportunity out there.
Value-wise, though, Cloud9 vs. OG picks have that sweet value juice. It’s a risky encounter, no doubt about that, but it does have potential to kickstart our IEM XV Katowice group stage betting endeavors.
But, I guess the decision is all up to you in the end…
