Evil Geniuses vs. Team Liquid Betting Predictions | ESL Pro League Season 1 North America CS:GO Tips

As the title implies, today we’re going to be talking about ESL Pro League Season 11. More precisely, we’re going to be talking about ESL PL S11 NA playoffs, the upper bracket final featuring two of the best NA teams out there, Evil Geniuses and Team Liquid.

Our Evil Geniuses vs. Team Liquid betting predictions are here to shed some light onto the matchup and hopefully bring you valid picks that’ll boost your earnings ahead of the lower bracket finals and, of course, the grand finals matchup.

As always, we’ll be focusing on facts-driven assumptions, taking stuff like past matches, individual forms and stats into consideration. There’s plenty of stuff we need to go through so let’s kick things off with the actual predictions!

Evil Geniuses vs. Team Liquid Betting Predictions

Looking back at the ESL Pro League S11 NA group stage, we can’t say either of these two teams was the dominant side. Yes, they topped the group with three wins, but they didn’t look like the far superior sides as certain EU teams did in their groups.

As far as the group stage encounter between these two sides goes, Liquid took the W after battling it out against CeRq and Brehze on Inferno as the decider map. And it was quite the thriller, going all the way to 22-19 in what was one of the closest NA matchups in quite a while. P.S. – I reckon we’ll be seeing more of the same in this matchup too.

Can Team Liquid Bounce Back Up?

Last summer, Team Liquid was considered the best team in the world… and that’s nothing surprising considering the fact they won seven consecutive events in as little as three months. They finally took Astralis down (arguably, Astralis took themselves down lol) and were at the pinnacle of their success.

Unfortunately, they couldn’t transition their pitch-perfect form to the StarLadder Major where Astralis shined. That was pretty much Team Liquid’s downfall. Even though they had one or two solid outings since then, we haven’t seen that spark of brilliance they cherished during the summer of 2019.

ESL Pro League S11 NA saw Team Liquid perform pretty well; to the point of people already suggesting their form could finally reach the summer of 2019 levels. Of course, Stewie2K and the boys are nowhere near such form. I’m not trying to belittle their ESL PL S11 NA performance, but losses against SWOLE and FURIA don’t breathe too much confidence in their overall strengths.

Evil Geniuses Looking for Redemption

Evil Geniuses have been pretty good in recent months. They’re not exactly in peak form either, but they’ve still been much more consistent than the majority of other NA sides.  Solid performance on the EPICENTER, as well as superb ECS, StarSeries, and ESL One NY campaigns brought Evil Geniuses  to the top of the CS:GO food chain. In fact, for a short period of time, they were the best team in the world according to HLTV.org. Unfortunately, EG players’ forms dropped down a bit. Not too much, but it was still a noticeable drop that led to poor BLAST Premier and IEM XIV WC performances.

Individually, Brehze and CeRq are still the key factors of this Evil Geniuses side. The team’s map pool is pretty solid too, with Mirage and Inferno remaining at above 60% during the last six months. Mirage is at 75% and Inferno at 63%, with 43 maps play in total, across both maps. Liquid’s Mirage and Inferno are sick too, also being above 60%, but the boys in blue excel at Vertigo too. If push comes to shove in the decider map, I reckon Team Liquid will have the advantage here.

Concrete CS:GO Betting Tips

As you could’ve guessed by now, this one really could go all the way. As far as match-winner CS:GO betting predictions go, there’s no way I would risk my money by betting on this match. Several key figures point in Team Liquid’s direction and an equally large number points in EG’s direction. This one is as tough as they come, which is why the bookies incorporated such a dashing set of odds.

Instead of typical match-winners, I’d like to go with one of my favorite esports specials – map totals! To be honest, map totals haven’t been that successful for me in recent weeks, but it has to work for our Evil Geniuses vs. Team Liquid betting predictions. There’s just no way the two best NA teams finish things off with just two maps on the record.

In other words, I’m going with total maps over 2.5 which currently sits at -106. I know, I know, it’s not exactly great value, but it’s a much lesser risk than either of the two match-winners you can opt for.
