Today, we’re focusing on the NA side of the deal, the most interesting round-one matchup between Gen.G and 100 Thieves. Both teams are looking to start off on the right foot, which is why our Gen.G vs. 100 Thieves betting predictions were pretty difficult to make.
But, before we dive into the main story, let’s say a thing or two about the best CS:GO bookmakers. Who knows, perhaps there are beginners reading this…
Where to Bet on CS:GO | Best Esports Betting Sites
CS:GO betting is a flourishing niche. With all major sporting events on hold, CS:GO betting acquired a massive number of new bettors wanting to test their luck in brand new waters. If you’re among them and you’re just about to make your first bet, there are many things you should know before you start making silly mistakes right off the bat.
For starters, you need to find yourself a decent esports betting site. Heck, not just a decent esports bookie, but a great one. Typically, you’d need to make a list of the most popular names then go through them one by one to compare their esports markets, bonuses, specials, customer support, and platform responsiveness.
However – there’s a much easier method! This method will take just a few minutes of your precious time. It involves checking out our CS:GO betting guide, which can be your very own bible for betting on your favorite esports title. It’s packed with valuable information so make sure you at least skim through it before you start your esports betting adventure.
Gen.G vs. 100 Thieves Betting Predictions
Now that you’ve been pointed in the right direction, let’s focus on the important stuff, Gen.G vs. 100 Thieves betting predictions! Coming into this match, the Aussies (100T) are the heavy favorites, averaging around -220 across the most popular esports bookies. Jkaem and jks are the biggest reasons why 100T is the favorite team here. They’ve been playing well over the last month or so, and will come into this match with high spirits.
Gen.G’s biggest downside is the lack of experience. They’ve been playing together for roughly four months, but their sync, or the lack thereof, is still clearly visible. Gen.G has excellent players onboard, and we’ve already seen what they’re capable of on DreamHack Open Anaheim. Still, their most recent endeavor wasn’t that good (disheartening Flashpoint playoffs elimination), which brings forth a ton of questions, most of which are based on their ability to be more consistent. It’s going to be an uphill battle for Gen.G, but making a statement on Road to Rio could make a big difference right from the bat.
Gen.G’s recent matches perfectly portray their lack of experience as a roster. Their rollercoaster of results features a surprising loss against HAVU which eliminated them from Flashpoint. Prior to that, Gen.G lost a tricky encounter against Cloud9 and slapped FunPlus Phoenix with a quick and effective 2:0.
100 Thieves, on the other hand, is in much worse form. Truth be told, their opponents were slightly better than Gen.G’s, but losses are losses. There’s no other way around it. 100T lost against FURIA (but managed to take a map), and suffered two additional L’s against MIBR and Liquid.
Wrapping Things Up
With all that in mind, it’s time to finish things off with concrete Gen.G vs. 100 Thieves betting predictions. As mentioned in the introductory section, our task was quite difficult. 100 Thieves possess more experience as a roster and are much more consistent, but Gen.G packs a hot roster with a massive snowball potential. Yes, Gen.G’s form isn’t the greatest, but they could still surprise the Aussies…
Remember, this is an online match and anything can happen. That said, -230 on 100 Thieves just isn’t worth it in my books. Instead, +160 on Gen.G is much better. We’re talking lower stakes here, Don’t go in too deep since this is a rather risky bet. We’re betting on the underdogs here, but underdogs that showed their teeth on Flashpoint and will be eyeing far better results in the foreseeable future.
