Another day, another upset-packed set of BLAST Premier Spring matches. Oh, will the agony ever end? Are we ever going to have a normal matchday with no massive upsets in sight? Can betting on CSGO go back to normal? Well, our Liquid vs. MIBR predictions are a bit on the bandwagon side of things, so here’s hoping the upset trend doesn’t end just yet!
Liquid vs. MIBR Predictions
Which way will this match go? Should we expect another upset or has that ship sailed away with today’s results? Well, let’s start digging and we might just find out!
Form
The form is the first thing we’re going to discuss here. Obviously, the most recent clashes are negative for both sides; both Liquid and MIBR lost their opening matches. However, you need to understand that no one really expected MIBR to win against NaVi, despite the whole upset trend that’s been going on. They did, however, snatch a map away from them – on Train of all options!

Liquid’s loss against Faze, on the other hand, was a pretty hefty upset. FalleN and the boys were expected to win and go up against NaVi in the winners’ round… but Broky and the boys messed up their plans. Now they have to fight for survival against MIBR. The Brazilians are the underdogs, no doubt about that, but they’ll have an extra bit of oomph following that spectacular display on Train earlier today.
Map Pool Stats
Believe it or not, MIBR actually have a slight advantage in terms of the map pool.
Following their 2:0 defeat against Faze Clan, Team Liquid’s map pool has never been shallower. Overpass and Dust 2 are the only maps on which they’re above 50% win rate. That ought to bear some importance for our Liquid vs. MIBR picks!
Roster Strength and Readiness
Even though we’re looking at a heavily altered Team Liquid roster, with grim and FalleN as the new blood, they’re still the superior side in terms of individual qualities. Nothing surprising considering the fact we’re looking at a brand-new MIBR roster AKA ex-BOOM esports roster. The discrepancies in terms of quality are more than noticeable… but matches aren’t won with quality and nothing else.
Readiness-wise, I see no reason why one of these two won’t be ready for tomorrow’s match. Don’t get me wrong, I’m well-aware both of them lost their opening-round clashes, but that shouldn’t faze them too much coming into this one. Especially MIBR who’ve, let’s be realistic, played above everyone’s expectations and took Train from NaVi in what was a brilliant showcase of their immense potential.
That said, here’s what I have in store for you in terms of concrete Liquid vs. MIBR predictions:

Let’s go boys; let’s try to milk this hype trend that doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon! MIBR had an excellent match against NaVi – they took a map from S1mple and the boys and jeopardized their perfect run. In fact, they’ve shown much more than Liquid have against Faze Clan, and that’s why I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt here.
That’d be all for today, folks! Here’s hoping we’ve struck gold with another certified banger!
Donnie out…
