Saturday features another great matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Texans. The kick-off is at 8:00 PM EST. The Texans are hosting this game at Reliant Stadium. The Cowboys vs Texans Predictions, Spread and Betting Odds can be found below!
The Cowboys are 2-1 this preseason and are coming off a win against the Chargers last week, successfully covering the spread of +2.5. The game total line was 35.5, pleasing “under” bettors as the cowboys defense really stepped it up. Jon Kitna saw the majority of snaps, going 9-15 for 84 yards and a TD. The Cowboys were able to get the win on a 4th quarter safety late in the game. The story of this game in my opinion was the Dallas defense that enabled them to pull out a great win.
The Texans are 0-2 this preseason, coming off a loss to the defending Super Bowl champions New Orleans Saints. Their last game easily eclipsed the game total of 41.5, the final score being 38-20. The backup QB Dan Orlovsky performed quite well completing 12-19 of his passes and throwing for 140 yards and a touchdown. The Texans defense did not echo that success allowing 5 touchdowns and 409 yards of offense.

Cowboys vs Texans Predictions for Preseason Game:
Game Total Prediction (TOP PLAY) – The Dallas offense has been good this preseason but not explosive, scoring no more than 16 points in a single game. The Texans are averaging 18 points per game in the preseason. The Dallas defense has been solid so far and that should continue. Houston will have some trouble putting up points on the Dallas defense. I think it will be a low scoring affair. PREDICTION – UNDER 40.5
Spread Prediction – Although the Dallas Cowboys are on the road, they have proved that they can win away from home. Both of their wins have come on the road this preseason. Houston has one of the worst ranked defenses this preseason and while that might change come regular season, the pattern is likely to continue in this game. Dallas should be able to establish their running game and monopolize possession. Houston is a middle of the pack AFC team and although they are at home, Dallas will be too much for them to handle. The Cowboys should be able to not only cover but win this game. PREDICTION – DALLAS +3
