The Jacksonville Jaguars will travel to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles tonight, Friday August 13th, to kick off both the two teams NFL preseason schedule. This AFC vs NFC matchup between the Jaguars and Eagles is set to kick off at 7:30 PM EST and is being played at the Eagle’s Lincoln Financial Field.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are coming off of a disappointing 2009 campaign and look to get things back on track starting with this preseason game tonight. The Jaguars finished the year with a 7-9 record, placing them 4th in the AFC South, as they failed to make the postseason. The Jaguars were sitting with a 7-5 record going into Week 14, but managed to lose two straight home games and dropped the remaining two games of the season to finish their season.
The Philadelphia Eagles had a solid regular season in 2009, as they finished with 11-5 record, which put them second in the NFC East behind the Cowboys. In the Wild Card round of the playoffs the Eagles were knocked off by the Cowboys by a score of 34-14, putting a disappointing end to their season. The Eagles let go of QB Donavan McNabb as they change directions and look to make a run at the NFC Championship this year.

Jaguars vs Eagles Preseason Prediction:
Spread/Money Line Prediction – The Eagles look to their new QB in Kevin Kolb to get things started for the Eagles in the pre season. Kolb is a talented QB, that coach Andy Reid has a lot of a faith in. Michael Vick is expected to see a lot of time in the pocket tonight, and is one of the better backup quarterbacks in the NFL. The explosive offense of the Eagles should be able to get things done tonight against the Jaguars as they look to start the 2010 season off on a good note at home. PREDICTION – EAGLES -3.5 (-110).
Game Total Prediction – So far in the 2010 preseason 3 of the 4 games have gone under the posted total, with some low scoring affairs. I don’t see this game being anything close to the 33-32 showdown these two teams had in August of last year. I imagine both teams will be running the ball quite a bit tonight and like for it to end up under the posted total. PREDICTION – UNDER 33 POINTS (-110).
