Sunday afternoon brings us an interesting match up, with the Detroit Lions heading into the Bank of America Stadium to take on the Minnesota Vikings. The Lions are rolling right now, while the Vikings are looking for their first win. Will that win come this week, debatable, but Adrian Peterson seems to think that this is the week that they roll out with a “W”. I’m not so sure. The Lions deserve credit these days; the squad is on a roll and taking down everyone in sight. At 2-0 the Lions look good to bump up to 3-0 on the road this week.
Coming off two big wins over Tampa and KC, this week plays another favorable match up for the scary Lions. Detroit’s Defense has been red hot as of late, ranking 3rd in the league. With a defense like that, this could be a long afternoon for McNabb. Expect lots of rushing the passer, and limited down field options. If McNabb tries to throw deep ball after deep ball, he could very well end this game with 5 INTS. With the strength on defense, this should make it very challenging to get the run started. If Adrian Peterson can’t get going, than neither can the Vikings. It’s no secret for what it takes to take down the Vikings. If AP is in check, there is a good chance you will be victorious, as McNabb has not shown that he can put this team on his back just yet, and this will not be his break out game.

Lions Vikings Pick
Although on the road, still the play on this game is the Lions -3. Statistically the Vikings are strong at home, but this won’t be the game they excel in their stadium. Detroit has built up a great defensive line, and Suh’s main focus this week will be limiting yards from Adrian Peterson. With AP in tact the Vikings with have limited options to beat the Lions. With a very attractive spread for a favorite, it is a no brainer to be taking the Lions in this game. They will make a real statement jumping up to 3-0 this week. Some may argue they have favorable schedule, but all that matters in the end is how you make the most of the 16 games of the season, and a 3-0 record is a great start out of the gate. Lions will cover the -3 and then some! A must play on your tickets this weekend.
