The Black and Blue Division will have another intriguing and possibly sad storyline in this divisional game. Former Packers great Quarterback Brett Favre facing his former team for the last time before he rides off into the sunset and retires. On the football side of things, the Packers can all but eliminate any chance of the Vikings making the postseason this year. Aaron Rodgers coming off of a bye week will probably be looking to come out sharp and move the football early in the game and score very early and let the defense go to work with a lead. As for the Vikings they have other ideas and as a home underdog wants to send a message to Vegas, the fans, and the media, that their season isn’t quite done yet and that they will win despite their coach.

The Packers have been decimated by injuries and for some reason are still competitive and refuse to lose, much to the dismay of many Viking fans. Aaron Rodgers is having a great year even though it’s not as good as last year’s. The Packers are 6-3 and are at least trying to stay alive for a wild card if not winning the division. Even though the Packers lost Ryan Grant early on in the season they still are able to run the ball decently enough. The number of weapons that they have receiving wise can more than make up for any deficiencies that there are in the run game. On Defense they continue to make plays with last year’s defensive MVP Charles Woodson and this year’s leading candidate Clay Matthews. Brett will want some revenge for the early season loss though and Adrian Peterson could run wild.
The Vikings backs are against the wall and they know they must win this week in order to give themselves a fighters chance at the playoffs. They are 10th in the league in rushing and I’m sure will look to give him the ball early on and see what he can do against the Packers 20th ranked run defense, but if Brett notices them creeping up to the line don’t be surprised if he throws it. The Vikings have a lot of injuries as well especially in the receiving core and if Rice can play that would help the Vikings so much. On defense the pass rush simply hasn’t been there at all and Jared Allen is off to a slow start even though he’s been picking it up as of late. The run defense has been getting gashed at times and really needs to tighten it up, they were the best in the league for about three years and need to get that run defense going again if they are to start winning.

Packers vs Vikings Predictions for Week 11 Betting:
Spread Prediction (Top Play): If there was such thing as a lock when it comes to gambling this would be it. The Vikings have to win this game to stay alive, their backs are against the wall and they know it. This game will be emotional for Brett and we all know that he plays his best with emotion and the fans at the Metrodome will be rocking that place so loud the players will not be able to think, much less communicate. I know they lost to the Packers already, but I don’t think lightning will strike twice. If there is one game I am most sure about it’s this one. Take the Vikings here it’s the safest bet to me.
Game Total Prediction: Both games played the last three seasons between these two teams in Minnesota have gone Over and I do not believe this one will be much different. The Packers are the 9th scoring offense in the league this year and even though the Vikings are only 26th I think you have to throw that out here. The reason being is because the Vikings season starts now. Favre knows if they lose this week the chances for the playoffs much less a Super Bowl are gone. The emotion for the Vikings will allow them to perform like they did last season and will allow them to play football and be aggressive something they haven’t done this year. I am extremely excited for this game and cannot wait to see this game go Over.
