The New Meadowlands Stadium is the location of Thursday’s preseason game between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants. The kick-off for this match is at 7:00 PM EST. This is the last chance for the rookies and unproven players to show their talents to the coaches as this is the last match-up before the regular season for both teams. The Patriots are 2-1 this preseason but are coming off a tough loss to the St Louis Rams. The final score was 36-35. The Pats could not win against the spread of -9 and the match easily surpassed the match total of 38 points. Tom Brady took the majority of the snaps in the game and played quality football completing 18 out of 22 of his passes for 273 yards and 3 touchdowns. The problem came down to their defense letting up 462 yards of total offense. That is deplorable, especially against the Rams. They will also have to improve on their 28 yards rushing to win the time of possession battle that helps wins games.
The Giants are 1-2 this preseason, coming off a loss to the Baltimore Ravens, 24-10. They failed to cover the spread of +4 and the match total of 37.5 was not reached. Rhett Bomar had an average performance going 10 for 20 on his passes for 140 yards and a TD. The offense played fairly well but they couldn’t convert their efforts into points on most occasions. Their defense gave up almost 400 yards passing and 3 TD’s. That is something that cannot continue if they want to win against the Pats who have a top tier QB and a few weapons in their receiving core.

Patriots vs Giants Prediction for Preseason Week 4 Game:
Game Total Prediction (TOP PLAY): The Pats have been putting up big numbers on offense in their last three games averaging 30 points per game, and their defense has let up quite a few points as well. The Giants defense can give up points in bunches so this game should easily eclipse the game total. PREDICTION – OVER 37.5
Spread Prediction: The Patriots are coming off a slightly embarrassing loss to the Rams. I would look for them to sure up their defense this week against the Giants. The Giants have looked average this preseason so I am going to go with the Patriots to cover. PREDICTION – PATRIOTS +3
