Virginia Tech quarterback Tyrod Taylor who leads the ACC with 18 TD passes and has accumulated 1,988 yards passing with only 4 interceptions on the season. Taylor was 4 for 9 for 98 yards and one TD in last season’s 31-7 Hokie win over Miami, so he will clearly be more of a factor this time around. Virginia Tech vs. Miami (FL.) Betting Predictions Week 12 Game:

Spread Prediction (Top Play) – Virginia Tech should be able to extend their roll another week on the road against the ‘Canes this week. With Miami showing inconsistency throughout the year and the Hokies looking dominant in the ACC so far this season, this should be a big game for Va. Tech. Miami is also likely to be missing its best player, Jacory Harris and the ‘Canes do not have the type of talent to hang with Va. Tech without their best player in the lineup or at less than full strength. Virginia tech rolled over Miami last season with a one-dimensional run offense, now Tyrod Taylor has developed as a passer in addition to his running skills, as a result the Hokies will simply have too much firepower on offense for Miami to contain.

PREDICTION (Top Play) – Virginia Tech -2

Over/Under Prediction – Take the under here, this looks like it could be a one-sided affair and the Hokie defense ranks 22nd in the nation in passing yards per game allowed with 188 and should be tough for the young Hurricane QB to throw against. The Hokies also rank 20th in the nation with 19.1 points per game allowed, and it is tough to see Miami doing better than that with a freshman QB in the lineup. Miami’s pass defense ranks number 3 in the nation with an average of 147.9 YPG allowed through the air and 14th in the nation with 18.2 PPG allowed, so points could be at a premium for both side in this one for both teams but the edge goes to the Hokies with their superior talent on offense.

PREDICTION – Under 50.5
