West Virginia vs. Oklahoma Pick:
West Virginia is 5-11 ATS in their last 16 Big-12 games, 2-7 ATS in their last 9 October games and 1-8 ATS in their last 9 games following a bye week. The Sooners are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games, 2-6 ATS in their last 8 Big-12 games and 1-7 ATS in their last 8 October games. The under is 11-1 in West Virginia’s last 12 games overall, 8-0 in their last 8 Big-12 games and 6-1 in their last 7 games against teams with a winning record. The over is 5-0 in the Sooners last 5 October games, 18-7-1 in their last 26 conference games and 13-6-1 in their last 20 games overall.
The trends for both teams against the spread is not favorable and something will have to give in this game. The Sooners would be an attractive play if the line was under touchdown, but at or over makes the total a more favorable play here. With Oklahoma looking explosive on offense and playing in front of the home crowd in Norman they can be expected to put up their fair share of points here. The Sooners have not been rock-solid on defense and West Virginia has looked very explosive on offense, so all signs point to a shootout here. The over is the play to make on a relatively low total.
