New York is a mess! Matt McGloin may get cut! Nah, I don’t know about that. Maybe they don’t have two more quarterbacks on the roster.
What he said, though, on the sideline talking trash about his coaching staff during a game was not the best idea.
Maybe he’s right but maybe he is just projecting his feelings.
McGloin hasn’t been able to hit the broad side of a barn in the first two weeks of XFL action, I don’t expect the former NFL’er to magically become a better player.
New York is beat up on offense and defense with nearly their entire wide receiving corps on the sidelines this weekend.
St Louis will be making their home debut and you may remember what I was saying before the season began about this city being the only one without an NFL team.
Well, tickets are sold out.
While, I don’t expect the greatest show on turf as we say from Kurt Warner, Marshall Faulk, and Isaac Bruce, I like St Louis to probably put up 30 points.
Last week against Houston, St Louis had 390 total yards, 26 first downs, went 11/19 on third down and 3/3 on 4th!
Sounds like a team that controls the ball with a solid running game, right?
Nope, they did run the ball 43 times but only for an average of just less than 3 yards per carry.
Battlehawks QB T’amu went 30/37 last week but his 2 interceptions cost them the game.
10 points is a lot, especially in the XFL.
Before we take the Guardians with the points, let’s look at how they fared last week. This might change our minds…
Well, they lost 27-0. Not good. Okay.
137 total yards… 5 first downs and an impressive 3 of those came on 4th down attempts. 1/11 on 3rd. They couldn’t really stop the run or the pass.
I don’t think they will be able to do it against one of the most explosive offenses in the league.
It’s pretty obvious the sportsbooks are trying to scare people off with this double-digit spread but I’m not scared.
What is new are the betting odds for these week 3 XFL games.
You guys probably think I’m crazy for taking the St Louis Battlehawks at (-10)!
You know, I might be but I did my research and St Louis is right up there with the Defenders and Roughnecks as top teams in this league.
Throw in the fact that it’s a home opener with some of the best sports fans on the planet and I think we have a winner.
Get those bets in now!
