The (5-6) 49ers travel to Quest field to take on the (4-7) Seahawks. Earlier in the year, the 49ers put up their best rushing day of the season. On September 20th, behind a 207 yard two touchdown performance from running back Frank Gore, the 49ers cruised to a 23-10 victory. The 49ers are looking to get back to .500 by snapping a four-game road-losing streak. The passing game looks to be heating up as Alex Smith threw for 232 yards in a 20-3 win over Jacksonville last Sunday. A few players have talked to head coach Mike Singletary and made opinions known to coach Mike Singletary that the team could be more successful throwing the ball. It sure seems like the coaches listened as the team has passed for 447 yards and 44 points in the last two games for a club that was held to 14 points in three of its previous five contests. Top overall draft pick Alex Smith has thrown for five TDs with one interception over the last two games. Vernon Davis has scored nine TDs matching his entire total from his first three seasons. Coach Singletary was happy with players like Davis who united to come forth and try to better the team. Betting lines, predictions and trends are listed below.

49ers vs Seahawks Predictions:
Final Score Prediction – 49ers 24 Seahawks 17
Spread Prediction – Frank Gore. This man is a beast and is averaging 109.2 rushing yards in his last eight games against the Seahawks. San Francesco’s five road contests have each been decided by six points or fewer. The 49ers are coming in hot and although Quest field is a tough place to play, I am confident that the 49ers will come through. Take the 49ers to cover this spread.
Over/Under Prediction– This is a tough call. I say take the under. Justin Forsett is playing well, he ran for a career high 130 yards and two TDs on 22 carriers last week. The Seahawks are averaging 92.2 rushing yards per game. Matt Hasselbeck is struggling as well and was held to 102 passing yards last week against the Rams. I think the 49ers will be able to put up points in Seattle, as they boast the leagues 25th ranked passing defense allowing 238.1 yards/game.
