Atlanta Falcons vs Tampa Bay Bucs Line Odds and Prediction

The Atlanta Falcons (5-5) are struggling to stay in the playoff hunt, but have a favorable schedule with three straight games at home. Facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-9) on Sunday could also seem to help. Atlanta got off to a hot start at 4-1 but have dropped four of five since then, including last weeks 34-31 overtime road loss to the New York Giants. They are currently one game behind the Giants, Green Bay and Philadelphia in the NFC wild-card race. Since hiring Mike Smith and drafting quarterback Matt Ryan in 2008, Atlanta is 11-1 at home over the past two seasons and is 4-0 this year. The Falcons are expecting a big boost if leading rusher Michael Turner can be ready for the lineup after a high right ankle sprain. Turner was on a role with three straight 100-yard games before suffering the injury November 15th against Carolina. Tampa seemed to show signs of improvements but last week they suffered a 38-7 defeat against the visiting Saints with rookie quarterback Josh Freeman having a season high three interceptions and a fumble in the third quarter. Tampa Bay has won 12 of 17 over Atlanta dating back to 1997, but the Falcons are 3-2 at home against the Buccaneers since 2004. Buccaneers vs Falcons Predictions:

Final Score Prediction – Atlanta 38 Tampa Bay 13

Spread Prediction – Bet ATLANTA to cover the 12 point spread.  Atlanta will win this game and build off this confidence for their next two home games. This is a must win for Atlanta if they are considering making the playoffs. Matt Ryan and big off-season signing Tony Gonzalez have looked great all season and don’t expect Tampa to hold them back. Rookie quarterback Josh Freeman will have a tough time playing at the Georgia Dome, which is one of the harder stadiums to play in. A $100 bet on the Falcons to cover would pay out a generous $190 at

Over/Under Prediction- Take the OVER 46 total points in this Bucs vs Falcons game. Atlanta’s offense will explode with Michael Turner back in the lineup against the weak Tampa Bay rush defense that allows 168.5 yards a game. Atlanta’s offense has looked better each week and don’t expect them to slow down this week.  Bet on the over now at
