Bears vs Packers Betting Odds for Week 1

Chicago Bears travel to Green Bay to take on NFC North rivals Green Bay Packers in the September 13th Week 1 opener game.  Both teams had disappointing seasons last year, failing to make the post season.  The Chicago Bears finished off the season with a 9-7 record, one win behind NFC North leading Vikings.  The Green Bay Packers finished with a 6-10 record after ‘cutting’ Brett Favre. This Week 1 game could go a long way in determining who will finish a top the NFC North division in this 2009-2010 NFL season.

Bears vs Packers Week 1 Betting Predictions:

There is great value on taking the Bears on the money line at +155 odds.  The bears didn’t play well on the road last year with a 3-5 record, but I think in a Week 1 divisional game it will hardly come into play.  Aaron Rodgers hasn’t fully proved himself yet, and will be facing a tough Bears defense.  My bet is on the Bears on the money line.

There is also some good value for the bears to beat the 3.5 point spread.  Again, the Bears match up with the Green Bay Packers well and will be able to contend with them.  At -110 odds I will be placing my bet on the Bears to beat the spread.

The Over/Under in this Bears vs Packers match up is a tough one at 44.  After looking into it I think that both teams defenses will play a fairly solid game and keep each team to a couple scores.  My bet will be on Under 44 total points at -110 odds.
