The Czech TT Star Series has a full slate of action on Monday, as the best players in the Czech Republic return to their office looking to advance their positioning. It’s going to be another slow sports week across the world, but the CPBL in Taiwan has provided something different to look at it, and finally some baseball to watch. Pace yourself with betting on the CPBL.
It’s professional baseball and that’s all people really care about, though. The KBO in South Korea is the bigger league of the two, and is scheduled to begin at some point in May. I think that’s the league where we’ll really be able to pad the bankroll. There are a few names that you might recognize in the KBO.
If you’ve been a regular table tennis bettor during this downtime of major sports, you begin to become familiar with players. That is especially true in Czechia where there aren’t as many players as in Russia. It’s hard to keep up with all of the players participating in the Moscow Liga Pro.
However, Czechia doesn’t have a huge player pool, so you get to know some of their competitors. Tomas Tregler is a mainstay and well-known table tennis player in the country. Tregler has participated in international tournaments and has had some success. As of March, Tregler is ranked 5th in the nation, just a hair behind rival Tomas Konecny.
Tregler has proven to be a major bankroll builder for us. He hasn’t failed us often, and was a winner on Thursday in our most recent table tennis pick. Despite that win, Tregler has been cold for the most part recently. He took a few days off to regather his thoughts, but has still been off the mark compared to his typical work at the table.
Tregler will be matched with David Reitspies around 5:55 a.m. EST. Reitspies is another young, talented table tennis player on the Czech TT Star Series circuit. It should be a competitive battle. Head below for our free David Reitspies vs. Tomas Tregler pick.
David Reitspies vs. Tomas Tregler Czech TT Star Series Betting Odds:
David Reitspies vs. Tomas Tregler Prediction:
It has not been too often in the Czech TT Star Series that we’ve seen Tomas Tregler get out of sync and frustrated. That’s exactly where he’s been recently. After going on a slide, Tregler was absent for almost a week before getting back. He lost five of six matches for a brutal run, especially by his standards. From April 11 to April 15, Tregler took some time off and hopefully a fresh perspective going into his next slate of matches.
While he returned to beat Dimitrij Prokopcov, Jakub Seibert, and Jakub Nemecek, Tregler opened up a three-match losing streak thereafter. Sebert and Nemecek are two of the youngest participants on the Czech TT Star Series and least talented at this stage. Tregler took care of business against both easily, but it’s nothing to get excited about. The win over Prokopcov was solid, though that’s the only strong player he’s beaten in about two weeks.
David Reitspies is coming off a 3-1 loss against Prokopcov, though defeated Tomas Konecny in an impressive showing the match before. He has also beaten Tregler recently for a 3-0 win on Friday. Reitspies has gone 5-2 in his previous seven matches and 10-4 in his last 14 outings. Reitspies has been dominant over Tregler in their last two meetings, with Reitspies winning both by a combined score of 6-1. With Tregler playing like his head is elsewhere, look for Reitspies to take advantage on Monday.
