Detroit Tigers vs Minnesota Twins Odds September 30

After getting cooled off last night, the second place Minnesota Twins are set to take on the division leading Detroit Tigers in tonight’s pivotal match up from Comerica Park in Detroit, MI. Last night, Detroit ace Justin Verlander delivered a masterful performance, keeping the Tigers atop the AL Central.  While Minnesota put a charge together late in the game, it was the Tigers ballgame to win.  The Tigers bats came out swinging early, and put a lot of pressure on the Minnesota defense.  Minnesota however, waited until late in the game to make a run bull fell a hit short in the 9th inning.  Tonight’s pitching match up sees Detroit youngster Eddie Bonine take on Minnesota’s Carl Pavano, who has been stellar this year against the Tigers.

Twins vs. Tigers Betting Predictions:

Final Score – Twins 4 @ Tigers 7

Runline/Moneyline – I would take the Detroit Tigers on the runline in tonight’s action.  They proved last night their offense is back, and Eddie Bonine is coming off of one of the best pitching performances of his young career.  While he may depart early, the Tigers bullpen is more than capable of holding leads, holding one of the best combined ERA’s in the American League.  I would also take the Tigers on tonight’s moneyline as well.  With a season’s work at risk here, look for the Tigers to come out big again at home and prove they are the cream of the AL Central crop.  Minnesota is due for a losing skid, having won 12 of their last 15.  Bet on the Tigers on tonight’s runline and moneyline.

Over/Under:  I like the over in tonight’s match up  Both teams can swing the bat, and both pitchers have had their ups and downs.  While Minnesota acquired Pavano specifically for these Tigers, I look for the Tigers to tame him throughout the game.  Eddie Bonine is pitching towards a spot in the Tigers bullpen come mid October.  Bet the over on tonight’s game at +105.
