NHL Predictions and Free Picks November 4th:

Washington Capitals vs New Jersey Devils – The Washington Capitals will play this game without their star Alexander Ovechkin due to an upper body strain.  Washington has been very good this year as expected, posting a 8-2-4 record.  The Devils have surprised some people posting a very good 8-4-0 record so far. I don’t know if the Capitals will have a spark on the road without Ovechkin.

Free Pick – Devils to win at -130

Calgary Flames vs Dallas Stars – Both teams are coming off two game losing skids.  The Flames are coming off to loses to the Avalanche and the Red Wings and have an overall record of 7-4-1.  The Dallas Stars are coming off loses to the Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators and have a 6-3-5 overall record.  The Stars won the first season match up, but Kiprusoff didn’t start.

Free Pick – Flames to win at +100

Phoenix Coyotes vs Colorado Avalanche – These are maybe the two biggest surprises in the NHL this year, both with solid records.  The Coyotes are 9-5-0 overall and 7-3 in their last 10 games.  The Avalanche are 10-3-2 overall and 7-2-1 in their last 10.  Look for the Avalanche to make it 5-0 at home this season.

Free Pick – Avalanche to win at -115
