Thursday, October 8th NHL Betting Predictions:

Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Philadelphia Flyers – The Pittsburgh Penguins, a night after one of the worst home ice performances in recent memory, travel down the road to Philadelphia to take on the undefeated Philadelphia Flyers.  Philadelphia has looked impressive thus far, with a couple of impressive road victories over playoff-calibre teams.  On the other side, Pittsburgh has yet to look like the defending Stanley Cup Champions and will be in for another tough battle tonight against the Flyers.

Bet on the Flyers to win at -145 – Bet at www.Bodog.com

Anaheim Ducks vs. Boston Bruins – The Anaheim Ducks have started off slow this season after a strong run in the 09′ playoffs.  They have only managed to earn a single point out of a possible 4 thus far, and the Boston Bruins are coming off a convincing 7-2 victory over the highly-touted Carolina Hurricanes.  Boston should be able to handle the Ducks tonight on their home surface.

Bet on the Bruins to win at -160 – Bet at www.Bodog.com

New York Rangers vs. Washington Capitals
– After a busy off-season, the New York Rangers have looked impressive this season, with consecutive victories in their last 2 games.  The Washington Capitals were able to knock off the Boston Bruins on the road, and got by Toronto with ease a few nights later.  Although New York has looked solid this far, I look for Washington to perform on their on ice.

Bet on Washington to win at -175 – Bet at www.Bodog.com

Chicago Blackhawks vs. Detroit Red Wings – After both teams opened their NHL seasons in Europe with losses, the Blackhawks won the second end of the home-and-home series, while the Red Wings lost another game to St.Louis.  Looking sluggish early, look for Detroit to get down to business against a divisional rival.  The Blackhawks should be able to play with Detroit, who is coming of age, but I look for the Red Wings to use home ice to their advantage for the first time this season.

Bet on the Red Wings to win at -155 – Bet at www.Bodog.com

Calgary Flames vs. Edmonton Oilers – The red hot Calgary Flames look to stay perfect this season against a team they beat Saturday night on the road.  Edmonton dropped their season and home opener to the Flames, but rebounded well against the Dallas Stars earlier this week.  I look for Calgary to stay perfect, in a high scoring game.

Bet on the Flames to win at -105 – Bet at www.Bodog.com
