Super Bowl 44 Spread Line Movement

The Super Bowl spread has moved yet again, down 1 whole point from where it started off at 5.5 to 4.5 as of Thursday Night.

The Indianapolis Colts were favored by 5.5 points when the Super Bowl lines were released almost immediately after the Saints win over the Vikings.  It has bounced around to 6, back down to 5.5, and down to 5 at times, but this is the first time it has gotten down to Colts -4.5 at the -110 odds.

Where to bet on the Super Bowl at the 4.5 Spread:

1 – – We first saw the line down to 4.5 at Sportsbook.  Sportsbook is one of the biggest North American online sports betting sites, and new sign ups will receive a 50% bonus up to $250 FREE!

2 – – 5Dimes is also showing the Super Bowl spread at 4.5 in favor of the Colts.  5Dimes has the best odds available on hundreds of different Super Bowl bets.

It was suggested by many that the Super Bowl 44 spread would get to as high as 7 or 7.5 in favor of the Colts close to game time Sunday.  If this is true, it would mean there would be a huge 2.5 or 3 point swing.  Bettors who are liking the Colts should BET IT NOW at 4.5, as I believe this is the lowest you will see it before the big game.

Personally I am in favor of betting on the Saints on the spread, but would never touch it at 4.5 this far away from the game.

If you like the New Orleans Saints stay away from laying your bets just yet, as the line should be moving back up and you should try to get it at +5.5 or even +6.

The money line on the Saints has moved from +185 down to +175, while the money line on the Colts moved from -220 up to -205.  At -205 I would definitely rather bet on the Colts to cover the 4.5 spread rather then just straight up.  Saints money line bettors should wait for the line to go back up, which it should within the next day.
