Seattle (5-8) has had some embarrassing losses this year, a 27-3 trashing to Arizona, a 35-9 loss at Minnesota but last Sunday’s 34-7 at Houston might have been their worst. The Seahawks were down 24-0 before they got their initial first down and were out gained 311-25 until their last drive before the half. This week brings a perfect opportunity to bounce back as they face a disappointing Tampa Bay (1-12) Buccaneers team. Perhaps the biggest disappointment has been the Seahawks offensive line. Last week, quarterback Matt Hasselbeck had three fumbles, was sacked three times and was hit after ten of his throws. Head coach Jim Mora will decide this week how many, if any, offensive linemen will lose their jobs and hasn’t ruled out changing all five spots if he doesn’t see better production. Thankfully the Buccaneers have lost 16 of their last 17 games and the offense has produced three field goals in the last two games. Rookie quarterback Josh Freeman has played very poor in his last two games. He threw three interceptions against the Jets last week after being picked off five times in a 16-6 loss to Carolina on December 6th, 2009. To his defense, he has had little help from an ineffective running game that has been held to less than 73 yards in two of the last three contests. The Seahawks are looking to win their third straight at home against a Tampa Bay team that has lost their last eight on the road. Betting lines, trends and predictions are listed below.

Bucs vs Seahawks Predictions:
Final Score Prediction – Seattle 27 Tampa Bay 10
Spread Prediction – Take Seattle to cover this 7 point spread. Tampa Bay’s defense is giving up an average of 27.4 points per game, third worst in the NFL and their last three losses have come against teams playing their backup quarterback. The Seahawks are 4-2 at Qwest field this year and I don’t expect them to lose this one. Bet Seattle to cover the spread.
Over/Under – Take the under in this Seahawks vs Bucs game. The Tampa Bay offense is terrible, they had 15 yards in the first half last week and finished with 124. The 10 points I predict they will score is generous. Seattle will put up 27 points, which is the average that the Buc’s have been allowing this year. Also, with Mora calling out his team and putting peoples jobs on the line, this will motivate them. Bet the under 39 total points.
