Tomas Konecny vs. Miroslav Horejsi Pick – TT Star Series March 26, 2020

We will stay in the Czech Republic for our second table tennis betting pick on Thursday. Following Tomas Tregler vs. Jakub Kleprlik, which is supposed to start around 5:45 a.m. EST, Tomas Konency and Miroslav Horejsi are scheduled to play a few hours later at 8:45 a.m. If you want to catch all of the table tennis action in the Czech Republic on Thursday morning, it’s likely going to be an early day for you.

The first match offered at Bovada begins at 3:00 a.m. I don’t have the official numbers, but you have to assume that table tennis has witnessed a huge bump in betting handle. Considering the suspension of other leagues around the world, and the number of table tennis events offered, table tennis has to be atop the sports betting world right now.

The AFL in Australia had an opportunity to take advantage of the absence of other leagues, but was only able to get a week in before shutting their doors. Then several other leagues followed their lead, and we’re getting to the bottom of the barrel for sports betting. Having said that, there are still opportunities to build the bankroll. Since the NHL was suspended, I’ve actually been in the green and made a profit, so I can’t complain about that.

Table tennis betting has been profitable thus far, with three selections and three wins. Can’t do much better than that. If you’re a football fan, there’s still leagues operating in Nicaragua and Belarus. If you want to go even further down the barrel, sportsbooks are starting to trickle lines out in the Burundi Premier League. Maybe I will take a look at it if there’s an opportunity there, but Nicaragua and Belarus are fine for now.

The money you make doesn’t know the difference between the NFL or table tennis, so if there’s an edge to be had, we’ll try and profit from it regardless of the sport. We’re going back to a match featuring Tomas Konency on Thursday in Czechia. He didn’t fail us on Tuesday, as he torched Jakub Kleprlik for an easy win. Konency will be back in action on Thursday with four matches on the docket. Head below for our free TT Star Series pick between Tomas Konency vs. Horejsi Miroslav.

Tomas Konency vs. Miroslav Horejsi TT Star Series Prediction:

Tomas Konency is a fixture on the Czech Republic tennis table circuit. If there’s an event going on, his name is usually there. He may not be the best player offered in the country, but he consistently can get the job done enough to remain playing professional table tennis. That’s not an easy thing to do in the competitive world of table tennis. Konency’s career started all the way back in 2001 when he was a teenager.

Konency is coming off an okay outing on Tuesday, though he struggled against Miroslav. Miroslav got the win in the fifth round in what was a tight competition. That said, Konency has two wins over Miroslav by a combined score of 6-1. Despite the loss for Konency, he’s been the stronger overall player recently. Konency has won 12 out of his previous 16 matches. Since January 21, Konency has 18 wins as opposed to 6 losses.

Miroslav has gone 6-10 in his previous 16 matches. He has the 3-2 win over Konency in his most recent day at the table, along with two other wins to get the sweep for a perfect day on Tuesday. However, Miroslav also has some bad losses like against Jakub Kleprlik twice. Kleprlik is not a good player by any means.

After getting the sweep on Tuesday, expect Miroslav to come down to earth Thursday. It should be a quality match against two opponents that have split four meetings, but I think Konency should be able to get a bit of revenge for the recent loss he had against him. Expect him to return to the table having done his homework after Miroslav defeated him two days ago. I like Konecny to get the win in this revenge spot.
