Tomas Tregler vs. Jakub Kleprlik Pick – TT Star Series March 26, 2020

Our table tennis betting series continues early Thursday morning from the Czech Republic in the TT Star Series. We’re off to a 3-0 start and hope to build on it with another winner on Thursday. The nice thing about table tennis is that there are unlimited options throughout the day to wager on. The sample size is huge, so it’s possible to pick your spots and turn a profit.

Having said that, there’s a pitfall to having all of those games to bet. If you can’t control yourself and start betting random events without doing your homework, it could get dangerous quickly. Pace yourself and pick your spots. Whether it’s your NFL bankroll or table tennis, it is of the utmost importance to practice appropriate bankroll management measures.

Italy might be reaching the point of new coronavirus cases, so we could be getting some good news there. Some other countries are lagging behind Italy, but it’s nice to see that the worst should be behind areas that have gotten hit hard. I don’t know how realistic it is to start playing Serie A matches anytime soon.

However, the most important thing is that Italy will hopefully be seeing a lot of relief shortly. Once that happens, we can begin to discuss the re-start date of Serie A. It appears that they could begin again in July or August with a shortened season. That’s likely the best-case scenario for Italian football. Asian countries will likely be the first to get their top leagues up and running again.

Table tennis continues to move along with their competitions in Czech Republic, Russia, and the Ukraine. It’s the ultimate social distancing sport, but I’m sure if there’s a major outbreak in any of those countries, then the cord will be pulled on our table tennis fun. It’s been pretty fun thus far, as we look to keep our unbeaten streak alive in Czechia on Thursday.

We’ll have another table tennis prediction featuring Jakub Kleprlik on Thursday. We faded him against Tomas Konency for a winning selection on Tuesday and that was an easy winner. Let’s see what Kleprlik has in store for us this morning against Thomas Tregler. Head below for our free Republic TT Star Series pick between Jakub Kleprlik and Tomas Tregler.

Tomas Tregler vs. Jakub Kleprlik TT Star Series Prediction:

Jakub Kleprlik had a tough time against Tomas Konency on Tuesday. We weren’t complaining, as it was an easy win for us. Kleprlik was dropped in straight sets, as he never stood a chance against a superior opponent. He played three matches on Tuesday and lost all three of them by combined sets of 9-1.

The only set he won was against Jiri Vrablik in his final match of the day. Dating back to Friday, Kleprlik has gone 1-7 in his previous eight matches. The only win he had during that stretch was against Miroslav Horejsi on Monday. He needed five sets to get the win there.

If we want to go further back to February, Kleprlik has been struggling mightily with a record of 1-12. Is Horejsi really that terrible to allow Kleprlik to beat him? He’s an average player that should have beat Kleprlik, though he’s not that oustanding. Tomas Tregler was able to beat Horejsi in four sets on Monday. Horejsi won the first set, but Tregler dominated the rest of the contest.

Tregler and Kleprlik also have some experience against one another recently. They played Monday, with Tregler getting the win in five sets over Kleprlik. It was their fourth meeting all-time, with Tregler up on Kleprlik with a record of 3-1. Their recent meeting was the first in the TT Star Series. Kleprlik hasn’t been performing well against anyone in the TT Star Series, so it’s hard to envision him improving suddenly on Thursday.

Tregler enters this match versus Kleprlik with some solid momentum. He was unable to beat Konency on Tuesday, but has otherwise been a strong player. Tregler has won 9 out of his last 12 matches. He’s also a winner in 17 out of his previous 21 matches. There is a huge mental aspect to table tennis, and Kleprlik’s head has appeared to be everywhere else but at the table recently. I’d side with Tregler to get it done on Thursday in this match.
