Tomas Tregler vs. Jiri Vrablik Pick – Czech TT Star Series April 10, 2020

The table tennis action rolls into Friday morning with a full slate from the Czech Republic, Ukraine, and Russia. There might be a shortage of major sports being played around the world, but there is certainly no shortage of table tennis matches. It’s not a sport that I advise going too wild on.

This isn’t the time to bust your bankroll as we await the return of sports in North America, which may be a long minute before that happens. In any event, table tennis betting offers a nice distraction from what’s going on. If you can make a bit of money off it then that’s certainly a bonus. I took another split yesterday to advance to 15-13 on my table tennis picks in 2020.

That’s alright, but I’d like to get hot and put some separation with the .500 mark in the right direction. We barely avoided a bad beat yesterday morning on Dmitry Kolesnikov. I was just talking about how bad beats are impossible to avoid in that article, too. Kolesnikov was up 2-0 and needed just one more set to win in straight sets.

He faltered, though, and went down to the wire in five sets. Kolesnikov was able to hold on and secured the win for us. It was a close call, and I just about jinxed myself, but Kolesnikov was able to get the bacon. Czech Republic was left off the table by us the past two days, though we’ll be back in Czechia for another round of table tennis betting.

A familiar face, Tomas Tregler, will be back looking for more on Friday. He has been an ATM for us thus far, and hopefully that is going to continue today. Tregler will take on Jiri Vrablik early Friday morning in North American time. Depending on matches prior, the start might be a bit later than 7:45 a.m. EST.

Vrablik has a match against David Reitspies earlier in the hour, so he will turn around and play a brand new match almost immediately thereafter. Head below for our free Tomas Tregler vs. Jiri Vrablik pick in the Czech TT Star Series for April 10, 2020.

Tomas Tregler vs. Jiri Vrablik Prediction:

Tomas Tregler is one of the better table tennis players you’re going to find in the Czech TT Star Series. He’s been fairly good recently with a record of 6-3 in his previous nine outings. Tregler has gone on bigger runs than that, though. He could be better, and losing matches against Tomas Konency, another fixture on the TT Star Series circuit, was a tough loss to take. Tregler also had losses versus David Reitspies and Miroslav Horejsi during that nine-match stretch. A loss against Konecny isn’t a bad loss, though Horejsi is a very beatable opponent. That’s a bad loss for Tregler.

One of his opponents on Friday, Jiri Vrablik, is coming off an impressive run with four straight wins. However, keep in mind that his victories over Jakub Nemecek and Jakub Kleprlik are not that impressive. Nemecek and Kleprlik are at the bottom of the Czech TT Star Series. They’re certainly two of the weaker players you’re going to find playing in the Czech Republic. The good win he did have was against Horejsi, who Tregler failed against in a recent match. Tregler has been dominant over Vrablik, having won four straight meetings. He owns a lopsided record of 6-1 against Vrablik in seven meetings, dating back to March 23. If Tregler is focused for this contest, he should get a win over Vrablik in this spot.
