Vikings vs Cardinals Line Odds and Prediction

Brett Favre is on fire, he already has an NFL record 488 touchdown passes. Farve and his red-hot surging Minnesota Vikings, playing like NFC championship contenders look to defeat the reigning conference champs Sunday night in a matchup with the Arizona Cardinals. Arizona is hoping to have quarterback Kurt Warner back. As soon as he takes one snap, Farve will set the NFL record for consecutive games played by non-kickers at 283. He tied Vikings defensive linemen Jim Marshall for the record last Sunday in a 36-10 win over Chicago. Farve passed for a season-high 392 yards and three touchdowns, continuing what has been perhaps the season’s most compelling storyline of the NFL. Largely due to Farve the Vikings are sitting solid at 10-1 and have become a top candidate to succeed the Cardinals (7-4) as the NFC Super Bowl representative. They will be able to clinch the NFC North if they win Sunday and Green Bay loses to Baltimore on Monday. Although he has the image as being a risk taker and gunslinger, Farve has only three interceptions this season and has made plenty of downfield throws to Sidney Rice, Percy Harvin and Visanthe Shiancoe. He will look to remain strong unlike 2008 when he had two TD passes and nine interceptions over the final five games as his New York Jets went 1-4 to miss the playoffs. Vikings vs. Cardinals Predictions:

Final Score Prediction – Vikings 31 Cardinals 28

Spread Prediction – This one will be a barnburner. I am feeling a late winning field goal. Look for Warner to miss this game, as his vision is still an issue. Former Heisman Trophy winner Matt Leinart could make his second straight start. He looked okay last week going 21 of 31 passes for 220 yards with no interceptions in the loss to the Titans. Rice and Harvin have developed into a dangerous duo of their own with Farve throwing the ball and I don’t see Arizona slowing them down. They complement an already outstanding running game led by Adrian Peterson. The VIKINGS will cover this spread.

Over/Under – Take the over in this one. Both teams have very explosive offenses. Even with Leinart at the helm, the dynamic duo of Fitzgerald and Boldin will create fireworks. Does anything need to be said about the Vikings offense? Peterson, Farve, Harvin, Rice. These guys can score and they will. Bet the OVER.
