Breeders Cup Classic Odds and Picks – $250 FREE for Betting

Zenyatta. Even those who don’t follow the Sport of Kings now about this Queen of Queens.

Is she the greatest filly ever? It’s hard to prove she is better or worse than any other grand champion but it’s widely accepted she is better than Ruffian.

Is she the greatest racehorse of all time? Who knows.

What we do know is this: she’s never, ever been beaten. And there is a lot of people who are hoping (and betting) that that will remain the same after she runs in the Breeders Cup Classic.

While everyone knows her and her accomplishments, there are other horses in the race which have plenty to run for, mainly a financially lucrative second and third place.

Claiborne Farms’ horse Blame (9-2 ML) is an outstanding four-year-old colt who has won all three of his lifetime races at Churchill Downs over a mile. This includes a very impressive victory in the Grade 1 Steven Foster in June. His stalking position should be suited well as Etched (30-1 ML), First Dude (15-1 ML) and Haynesfield (12-1 ML) should provide a quick, honest pace. Will his kick be enough to contend with the likes of Zenyatta who will be thundering down the lane?

Lookin at Lucky (6-1 ML) is an outstanding three-year-old colt that is 9-12 lifetime under trainer Bob Baffert (25% wins in 2010). He’s won his last three races all at the graded stakes level. Before his Grade II Indiana Derby victory he won a pair of Grade I races in the Haskell and the Preakness. Don’t be concerned this will only be his fourth race since May. He put up a bullet six furlong workout at Hollywood Park on October 25th and his late charging style will be popular amongst Blame and Zenyatta. He’s a prime candidate to hit the board should he fire. If there is a horse classy enough to beat Zenyatta, it’s him.

If there is a horse that is interesting at some bigger odds then let me suggest Musket Man. The horse has hit the board in every single lifetime start (14) which is impressive given that 11 of the races were at the graded stakes level. Etched—who should be part of the pace here— just beat out Musket Man in his last race (Grade II Monmouth Cup) when he went out 1-2 odds. Expect this hard-fighting four-year-old colt to give it all he has in his biggest race yet.
