We will try and find a winning ticket on the Rainbow Pick 6 at Gulfstream Park on Sunday in Hallandale Beach, FL. If that’s not the case, I will be more than fine with the Pick 5, which we were able to cash at Churchill Downs two weeks ago. Despite a terrible day yesterday, the score on the Pick 5 at Churchill Downs keeps us well above water.
A 2-dollar multibet wager turned into well over $1,600 in profit. That’s the ultimate in ROI. We also won a Pick 3 ticket at Churchill Downs the week before that win, so it’s been pretty good when it comes to horse racing, yesterday notwithstanding, because that was ugly between Churchill Downs and Santa Anita Park.
We’ve won a Pick 3 and Pick 5, and now hopefully adding a Pick 4 and Pick 6 win to the mantle would complete the sweep. That said, I will more than welcome another Pick 5 win, though. Both the Pick 5 and Pick 6 at Gulfstream Park on Sunday would be a treat. Head below for our free Gulfstream Park Pick 5 and Rainbow Pick 6 selection for May 31, 2020.
Pick 6: Race 6-11
Pick 5: Race 7-11
Post Time: 3:16 p.m. EST
Distance: 6 Furlongs
Our Rainbow Pick 6 begins with Race 6 at Gulfstream Park on Sunday. Eight horses will participate in this 6-furlong event for a $41,000 purse. Got It Made, Tara, and Starship Voyager are on my shortlist. I’d like a bit more value on Miraculousblessing. I’m not feeling it with the morning-line price.
Tara is winless in her career but has been coming on strong recently. She completed the placing hat-trick with three straight finishes in 2nd. Since finishing 5th, 4th, 7th, Tara has been running nicely and might surprise in this race. Two of those races were stakes races, so Tara has been in some bigger events than this. Starship Voyager has raced in just two events, finishing 2nd and 4th on April 5 and April 26.
Heading into Sunday, Starship Voyager has been in decent form. Got It Made is the betting favorite on the morning-line from the No. 1 post position. She is making her debut on Sunday after some promising workouts in May. Got It Made completed 4 furlongs at 49.80 and 49.40 seconds. While Got It Made will be a threat here and likely have a solid career, I like the form that Tara has been in recently. The value should be there at post time on Tara.

Distance:1 1/16 Miles
1 1/16 miles for a purse of $23,000 in Race 7. 12 horses are signed up to race in this event. There appears to be some decent value on the morning lines in this race. Miss My Macho, Lady Noguez, and A Beautiful Day should all compete and be in this race in the stretch. Miss My Macho is coming off a successful run on May 1 to win by 1 ¼ lengths over Lady Noguez. It was the second win for Miss My Macho in four races. She won on February 12 by a half length over Cat’s J N J.
Lady Noguez has been waiting since November 29, 2019 for her next win. She won then, but has gone winless in seven straight outings. Having said that, Lady Noguez has been in fine form and running near the front. She has finished in the top-3 in three straight races, including placing in two of them. However, Miss My Macho was too good for Lady Noguez on May 1, as we just mentioned above. It’s expected that Lady Noguez is going to be running near the front of the field again. She may win this race, but I like to give the edge to Miss My Macho by a half length or so in this race. It will be close again, but Miss My Macho should be able to prevail.

Race 8 is a small field of six horses, but it should be an entertaining 6 furlongs. Running for Riz, Where Paradise Lay, and Royal Squeeze are likely going to have the best runs in this event. Royal Squeeze enters as the favorite according to the morning-line at BetOnline. His previous 6 of 8 races have been stakes races, with one of them a win in the Claiming Crowd Rapid Transit Stakes on December 7, 2019. Since then, Royal Squeeze has finished 5th, 3rd, 4th in his previous three races. Overall, he has won 11 of 43 races in his career.
Running for Riz has 2 wins in 17 races in his career, and will be looking for his first since May 9, 2019 today. He has finished 8th, 2nd, 5th, 3rd, 4th in his previous five outings. In the race he finished 8th in, Running for Riz was in the Sunshine Millions Sprint Stakes. He didn’t belong in that race and was immediately dropped in class after being outmatched. Where Paradise Lay will present a big challenge to the field in this one. I think he’s getting the best value in this event.
Where Paradise Lay is looking for the hat-trick in this race, which dates back to a win on April 18. He was in excellent form then, as he beat Hard Belle by a neck in what was a pretty tricky race. Where Paradise Lay was able to follow that up with another impressive performance on May 10 to win by 3 ¾ lengths over Frosted Grace. Frosted Grace will take another shot at Where Paradise Lay in this race, but will likely fall again. Where Paradise Lay is a winner in 4 of 13 races in his career, and should have another productive performance today.

Race 9 features 5 furlongs for a $20,000 purse. Overnight Success and Congrats That will be in the mix here, with Centerfold Prospect holding quite a bit of value. Centerfold Prospect is catching +1200 and is on my shortlist for this event. He has 2 wins in 11 races, with finishes of 3rd, 4th, 1st, 3rd, 8th in his previous five races. A bit inconsistent, but Centerfold Prospect drop down a class after his previous run for 8th. It’s not a huge drop, hence his odds of +1200, but I think it’s enough to keep him in contention here.
Congrats That was much better in his previous race, as he won on May 3 by 1 ½ lengths. Prior to that race, Congrats That was a half length back of Freddy Soto on April 11. This was after Congrats That had no success for three straight races after trying a more difficult class. It went nowhere, as Congrats That finished 6th, 5th, 8th. This is going to be a harder race than he won a few weeks ago, but it’s a reachable assignment.
Overnight Success might be the class of this field, though. This should be an easy race for him after finishing 3rd, 6th, 1st, 4th, 2nd in his previous five outings. In the race he did win on October 24, 2019, he was facing similar competition as this race. He beat Here Comes Kyle by 1 ¼ lengths. Following that win, Overnight Success finished 4th and 2nd in his most recent outing on March 15. His most recent win would be enough for a win against this group.

We need two more horses for the Pick 5 and Rainbow Pick 6 at Gulfstream Park. This will be 6 furlongs with eight horses participating in the event. Whiskey Sunrise and Game Boy Benny are expected to be threats in this one, while Krammy Boy might be able to lurk as well. Krammy Boy enters in good form, having won on March 7 and then placing on April 24. In his win, Krammy Boy won by 3 lengths over Silent Tiger. It was the second win for Krammy Boy in 2 out of 3 races following a victory on December 29, 2019 as well. He has 4 wins in his 17-race career. He has either placed or won in 5 of 6 races.
Game Boy Benny has been hot as well, with wins in 2 of his previous 3 races and showed in his most recent outing on April 16. He won on January 30 and then won again on March 6 for the back-to-back effort. Overall, Game Boy Benny has 3 wins in 12 races in his career. He should be noticed in this race, and might be able to place, but this isn’t the easiest of races for him. In any case, he wasn’t expected to finish 3rd on April 16 and was able to accomplish that. He gets my respect with that run as a fairly big underdog.
Whiskey Sunrise has raced in just three races and has been on point in all three. He didn’t score a hat-trick, but came awfully close from pulling it off. Whiskey Sunrise won on April 12, while placing on April 26 and May 9. As a first-time starter, Whiskey Sunrise placed behind Absolute Grit by a half length. He used that promising effort to win on April 12 over Victory Town by 4 ¾ lengths. In his most recent outing, Whiskey Sunrise placed again, but that was as an underdog in a tough assignment. It wasn’t expected, but Whiskey Sunrise performed. That form would be more than enough for a win versus this field on Sunday.
Post Time: 5:55 p.m. EST
It will take a mile to win the final race of the day at Gulfstream Park on Sunday. This is for a $25,000 purse to wrap up another day of racing in Hallandale Beach. La Cara Bonita, Bramble Boy and Glorious Gal should be involved in the stretch in this contest. Glorious Gal has been a bit all over the map, but if she woke up today wanting to run then it could be another winning day for her.
Glorious Gal has finished 7th, 1st, 5th, 3rd in her previous four races. Overall, 6th, 5th, 6th, 1st, 5th, 3rd has been her career thus far with a win in 6 races. In the win on New Year’s Day, Glorious Gal won by 3 lengths over Big Boss Lady for an impressive run. She can just be too inconsistent to have full faith in, though.
La Cara Bonita is where you want to go if you want consistency. If she doesn’t win this race, La Cara Bonita is likely going to show and be in the top-3. She has been an excellent show bet over the last few races, where La Cara Bonita has finished 3rd, 3rd, 3rd in three races. She won on January 3 by ¾ lengths over Our Fantasy. In 5 of 7 races in her career, La Cara Bonita has been in the top-3. This field presents a winnable challenge for La Cara Bonita and is expected to be hanging around the front at the wire.
