  • Purse: $75,000

The first at Belmont Park is a $75,000 event covering 1 1/16 miles on the dirt. Look at Curlin’s Wisdom and Colloquy to be leading contenders in Race 1.

Curlin’s Wisdom is winless in five attempts, but could break through Sunday afternoon. The colt has finished 4th, 3rd, 2nd, 4th, 3rd in his career.

In his last run, Curlin’s Wisdom showed 3rd for a $70,000 purse on April 7. He was involved late and another run like that should put him firmly in contention.

Colloquy is 3rd, 2nd in two career races. The colt is coming off a big run on March 27 at Aqueduct. Colloquy placed 2nd behind Thrill of It by 1 length in a $70,000 race.

He started off well, showing 3rd in the same class on February 24. Colloquy had improvement in his next start and should continue in the same direction.

  • Post Time: 2:11 p.m. EST
  • Distance:1 1/16 Miles
  • Purse: $28,000

Race 3 is a $28,000 assignment covering 1 1/16 miles on the dirt. Noble Journey and Tough Tickets should have a good go at the prize.

Noble Journey is a one-time winner in 12 assignments and 5th, 2nd, 6th in his previous three attempts. Two races back, Noble Journey placed 2nd behind Straight Skinny by 4 ½ lengths in a $36,000 event.

It was a good run from Noble Journey, but regressed to 6th on March 18 in the same grade. Dropping to $28,000 seems right for Noble Journey.

Tough Tickets has finished 1st and 3rd in two career attempts. In his debut, he beat Oh Steve by 1 length in a $28,500 race.

That was a good start for the $225,000 colt, though didn’t hold up as well on March 20. He fell back to 3rd in a $36,000 assignment.

Tough Tickets is in a similar spot to Noble Journey, dropping down to an easier event. His speed readings have been more impressive and looks like the best.

(7) Miss Majorette
+800 (8/1)
  • Post Time: 4:54 p.m. EST
  • Distance:1 1/16 Miles
  • Purse: $100,000

The License Fee Stakes is the feature at Belmont Park on Sunday afternoon. This stakes race carries a $100,000 purse across 1 1/16 miles on the inner turf at Belmont.

Miss J Mckay and Too Sexy should battle in the stretch to sit at the top on Sunday. Miss J Mckay is 4 for 14 with some decent work as of late.

The mare is 1st, 1st, 4th, 3rd in four races. In her last win, she defeated Drapes by 1 ½ lengths in the $100,000 Abundantia Stakes on New Year’s Eve.

Since then, she finished 4th in the $100,000 Ladies’ Turf Sprint Stakes and most recently 3rd in the $100,000 Captiva Island Stakes on March 12. She will need more against Too Sexy.

Too Sexy has 4 wins in 13 assignments in her career. In her last three outings, she’s 1st, 1st, 2nd with a stakes win in the $150,000 Floral Park Stakes on October 17.

Too Sexy looked good with a 3 ¼ length win. She edged clear late in the stretch.

It was tough on her to complete the hat-trick, but it was still an acceptable performance to place 2nd behind Change of Control by ¾ lengths in the $150,000 Autumn Days Stakes.

Look for Too Sexy to be the best down in class to a $100,000 assignment in the License Fee Stakes.
