We’re back on the racetrack Monday with four of the smaller tracks getting some attention early in the week. You aren’t going to see any of the big boys racing early in the week on a Monday or Tuesday, but that doesn’t mean we can’t find some winners. BetOnline has four racecourses available for wagering, with Delta Downs, Louisiana Downs, Parx, and Turf Paradise all open for business on Monday.
The story of the weekend was the performance of Bob Baffert’s Concert Tour in the $1,000,000 Rebel Stakes (Gr. 1). Concert Tour cruised in that race to an easy win. What else is new that Baffert has a stacked barn of 3-year-old runners going into the Kentucky Derby. He had some bad luck with injuries to Nadal and Charlatan last year, and still managed to trot out Authentic for a win.
Our first stop on Monday is going to be at Delta Downs in Louisiana. Delta Downs has nine races on the card with a total of $201,000 in prize money available. Head below for our free Delta Downs picks for March 15, 2021.

Race 4 is a mile race on the dirt for a $18,000 purse. Six horses are expected to participate in this race, with Grace of David and Aubrey likely going to come close for a win here. Grace of David is 5 for 23 in her career, with a recent win two outings ago on February 2.
She beat Miss Katniss by 1 length in a $12,000 event in that race. Prior to that win, Grace of David placed 2nd behind Skeeter by a half length for a $12,000 prize. Grace of David fell out of favor on February 24 in a $14,000 assignment to finish 6th.
Grace of David is edging up to a $18,000 race. She is going to need improvement from her last effort, but this isn’t the most difficult field. Aubrey should pose a threat to Grace of David and the rest. She is 7 for 48 in her career and should find this race manageable.
In her most recent assignment, Aubrey showed 3rd in a $19,500 race. Prior to that solid outing, Aubrey beat Boonesboro Beauty by 2 ¾ lengths in a $12,500 event. That was too easy, with Aubrey drawing clear in the stretch easily. Note that she has finished top-3 in six of her previous seven entries. She shouldn’t have too many problems against this beatable field.

Race 5 is our second selection at Delta Downs on Monday afternoon. This is a 5-furlong event for a $18,000 purse on the main track. Nine horses are scheduled to run in the race, with She’s the Boss and Accustomed to Hope on my shortlist to win Race 5. She’s the Boss is 1 for 12 in her career, with a win four races ago on December 10.
She defeated Camp Halo by 2 ¼ lengths in a $10,000 event in that event, and then went 4th, 3rd, 4th. In her most recent outing, She’s the Boss finished 4th in a $14,000 race. This is up in class to $18,000, but the competition isn’t all that much tougher, and the odds at 10/1 might make her a good value play in this spot. It isn’t like there is any horse in this race in great form at the moment, so She’s the Boss might be able to steal a win here on the rail.
Accustomed to Hope is 1 for 20 in her career, and should find this race much easier on Monday. In her past four outings, Accustomed to Hope has gone 2nd, 7th, 1st, 4th. She beat Lawsuit Lucy by a neck as a favorite in a $13,000 race on January 28, and then struggled to follow up in a $19,000 event for 4th. I’m going to roll with the longshot and back She’s the Boss.

In Race 8, we have eight horses striving for a $40,000 purse. Alluring Actor and Toni’s Star should have a say in the stretch in this race. Alluring Actor is 4 for 23 in his career and should be worth a look after coming off a stakes race. He has gone 1st, 2nd, 10th, 7th in his previous four performances.
Alluring Actor was a winner on November 28 in a $18,000 event over Allthewaytaye by a neck. Since that win, Alluring Actor has gone 2nd, 10th, 7th. In his most recent outing, he finished 7th in the $40,000 LA Bred Premier Ragin Cajun Starter Stakes. He’s staying in the same level at $40,000, but feel this one should be a little easier for Alluring Actor.
Toni’s Star is 3 for 14 in his career, finishing in the top-2 in four of his previous five performances. Note that she has two wins in her last four outings. In the most recent win, Toni’s Star beat Dejoke’s Song fairly comfortably by a length. In her next attempt, she placed 2nd behind Madelyn’s Wild Max in a $37,000 event by a length. That was impressive and a similar effort would be sufficient enough to get to the winner’s circle.
